'Living & Breathing,' an innovative play, is making its world premiere at Two River Theater (TRT) through February 26.

The new year brings a new world premiere to Red Bank! Continuing its theatrical season, Two River Theater will present the darkly funny and complex Living & Breathing, written by Mando Alvarado and directed by Rebecca Martínez. 

The New Collectives are excited to announce the first show of their 2019 season, M4M, a seven character reimagining of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure.

Rosemary and Time, the mesmerizing new play written by award-winning playwright Jennifer Fell Hayes, opens next week at the Paradise Factory Main Stage in the East Village. New York Madness has announced the schedule for its 2017-18 season, their second in residence with FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery).

The Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Center for Thought & Culture announced today the Sheen Center Theater Festival: Readings of New Short Plays by Catholic Playwrights, an event designed to showcase the voices and skills of a new generation of writers. The festival will take place in the Black Box at The Sheen Center, 18 Bleecker Street, New York, NY, on July 8 and 9, 2017.

Two-time Tony Award nominee Penny Fuller, who can currently be seen on stage in the Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park with George, will star in The Decades of Mason Carroll written by The Honeycomb Trilogy playwright Mac Rogers.

Taking the gender parity problem head-on New York Madness is bringing to the stage a Special All-Women writers and directors edition of their short play festival, a mainstay of NYC's Indie Theater Community. NYMadness has produced at HERE Theater, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studios Theatre, INTAR Theater, ESPA Primary Stages and many more across the city. Since inception six years ago NYMadness has been a leader on gender parity maintaining a 50/50 even split men/women on their roster. With a focus on emerging artists, NYM hosts a hot night of short plays all based on a Theme announced one week prior to the event. The Theme for this special edition is appropriately dubbed, SMASHING THE PATRIARCHY Madness. 

Team Awesome Robot, a new theater collaborative, is pleased to announce the production of Callie Kimball's new playRush directed by Team Awesome Robot's Artistic Director Christopher Diercksen. Rush will be playing a three-week engagement at The Paradise Factory (64 E 4th Street, NY, NY 10003). On Monday, September 21, 2015 The Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 recipients at its annual event. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees, the New York Innovative Theatre awards took place at Mason Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.

On Monday, July 20, 2015, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 11 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2015 nominees at its annual event, The IT Party. Celebrating eleven years and thousands of nominees at DIAMOND HORSESHOE, home of Queen of the Night, 235 West 46th Street, 7pm-10pm.

Between Us Productions will present the World Premiere of Sander Gusinow's The Fairer Sex, directed by Samantha Lee Manas. New Ohio Theatre and Theatre 167 proudly present the World Premiere of I Like To Be Here: Jackson Heights Revisited, or, This Is A Mango, conceived and directed by Ari Laura Kreith, and written by Jenny Lyn Bader, J.Stephen Brantley, Ed Cardona, Jr., Les Hunter, Tom Miller, Melisa Tien, and Joy Tomasko. The play is part of the 2nd annual Theater:Village Festival, and runs now through September 27, 2014 in a limited engagement at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.
