David Zayas, Cathy Curtain and More Join NYMadness' Season Closer with Guest David Bar Katz Tonight

New York Madness closes its fourth season on May 12th at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, with featured guest playwright David Bar Katz (Tony Nominee, LAByrinth Theatre Co, Emmy Nominee, FOX, HBO, Sundance).

Writers for this Madness are: David Bar Katz, Cecilia Copeland, Libby Emmons, Judith Leora, Michael Panes, Michael Puzzo, Abby Rosenbock, and introducing Morris Akiba Katz.

With a focus on emerging writers, NYMadness hosts a hot night of short plays all based on a theme proposed by the more established Featured Guest. The Theme is announced one week prior to the event and the works are presented fully staged with scripts in hand. NYMadness has been hosted by the Cherry Lane Theatre, Ensemble Studios Theatre, HERE Arts Center, ESPA Primary Stages, INTAR Theatre, IATI Theater, Urban Stages, and more.

NYMadness' previous fourth season featured guests included Erik Ehn (Head of Playwriting at Brown University), Caridad Svich (Gun Control Theatre Action, NoPasportPress, Lifetime Obie Award Recipient), Jenny Lyn Bader (The O'Neill Playwrights Conference, New Georges, League of Professional Theatre Women, Warner Bros, NBC, HBO), Mia Chung (New Dramatists, Ma Yi Lab, Playwrights Realm, Bay Area, Woolly Mammoth), and August Schulenberg (Flux Theatre Ensemble, TCG, The Lark, Mozzlestead Productions).
