The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago celebrates its 23rd Broadway anniversary tomorrow, Thursday, November 14th. The production is now playing at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT are thrilled to present the second show of their 2019-2020 season, Roald Dahl's MATILDA, THE MUSICAL, book by Dennis Kelly, music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, musical direction by Jennifer Lin, choreography by Kate Dunn and directed by Michael Matthews.

Producers Aged In Wood Productions (Robyn Goodman and Josh Fiedler) and Kumiko Yoshii have just announced that Tony Award-winner Christopher Ashley (Come From Away) will direct the Broadway-aimed Working Girl, with music and lyrics by Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and book by screenwriter and playwright Bridget Carpenter ('11.22.63' and 'Friday Night Lights').

The 11th annual DTLA Film Festival, which is set to run from October 23rd -27th at Regal L.A. LIVE, announced today its full feature film lineup and select award recipients. A total of 38 feature-length movies – evenly divided between narrative and documentary - are slated to screen, with the majority making their World Premiere, West Coast Premiere, US Premiere, Los Angeles Premieres, and all eligible for awards.

Born Yesterday opens Venice Theatre's 70th MainStage Season on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019. It will keep audiences laughing through Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets begin at $27 for adults, $17 for college students, and $15 for youth through 12th grade. Beginning August 5, getTV will begin airing episodes of the popular sitcom “Hot in Cleveland,” starring Valerie Bertinelli (“One Day at a Time”), Jane Leeves (“Frasier”), Wendie Malick (“Just Shoot Me”) and Betty White (“The Golden Girls”). The series, which ran on TVLand from 2010 to 2015, will air August 5 at 6PM ET.

Celebration, under the artistic direction of Michael A. Shepperd, presents the second show in its 2019 season, the Los Angeles intimate theatre premiere of THE PRODUCERS, A New Mel Brooks Musical, book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, music and lyrics by Mel Brooks, choreography by Janet Roston, musical direction by Anthony Zediker, produced by Andrew Carlberg and Rebecca Eisenberg and directed by Michael Matthews.

Co-Producers Tom Vitorino and Alice L. Walker (Thursday Night Theater Club), have signed acclaimed director/actor, Robyn Cohen for The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance at The El Portal Theatre MainStage.  Both Vitorino and Walker are thrilled to have Robyn Cohen at the helm directing their cast of twelve. This will be her second time to direct with Thursday Night Theater Club.

An icon of the theatre world, Chita Rivera comes to London next month to play Cadogan Hall for just two concerts. Talking to her about returning to her 'second home', Chita also shares what audiences can expect from the concerts, as well as her journey from having 'never seen a Broadway show' to being presented with the 2018 Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.

Inkwell's World Premiere 'Sisters Three' opens December 14th at 8pm

A Classic Broadway Mother's Day, special Mother's Day performance of the ongoing concert series An Evening of Classic Broadway, now in its 5th year, takes place on Sunday, May 13th at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Angeles.
