New Perspectives Theatre Company (NPTC) is pleased to announce SAFE SPACE, readings of three new plays under the auspices of the NYC Artist Corps Grant program, hosted by NPTC's Women's Work Project.

Annaleigh Ashford, Kerry Butler, Kristin Chenoweth, André De Shields, Jake Gyllenhaal, Christopher Jackson, Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bebe Neuwirth, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kelli O’Hara, Ben Platt, Jeremy Pope, Chita Rivera, Daphne Rubin-Vega and BD Wong are just some of the artists who are set to appear.   Additional performers and presenters will be announced later this week.

3rd Act Theatre Company opens season 3, UNKNOWN, with the comedy of errors The Red Lamp. This mysterious red lamp is supposed to bring good luck to anyone who lights it, and the family at the center of this tale could use all the luck they can get. The Red Lamp is the first of a full lineup of shows for this news theatre company.

Co-produced by ROH and INO, and premiered in Covent Garden in 2020, the production is directed and designed by Antony McDonald. Performing under the baton of André de Ridder alongside the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Dublin-born Claudia Boyle leads the cast as Alice.

Peter James and producer Joshua Andrews have announced full casting for the World Premiere stage production of the Peter James bestselling novel Looking Good Dead. 

Fanilows lined the porte cochère at Westgate Las Vegas on Sept. 15, when the first Copacabana Flash Mob celebrated the anticipated return of Barry Manilow. The iconic singer, songwriter, musician, and producer demonstrated that he is ready to perform again in Manilow: The Hits Come Home through Dec. 4 with a contract extension through 2022.

On September 26th, The Skivvies (Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley) will host Hold Me Closer, Tony Extravaganza on 9/26 during the Tony Award streaming telecast on Paramount+ at The Green Room 42.

The cast is led by Pierre Jean Gonzalez as Alexander Hamilton, with Ta'Rea Campbell, Marcus Choi, Jared Dixon, Desmond Sean Ellington, Warren Egypt Franklin, Neil Haskell, Elijah Malcomb Stephanie Jae Park, Paige Smallwood, and more.

Earlier in the evening will be the live presentation of the American Theatre Wing’s 74th Annual Tony Awards live at 7:00 PM, ET/4:00 PM, PT, hosted by Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning actor and singer Audra McDonald.

Philadelphia Eagles’ Hall of Famer Tommy McDonald was the famously tough wide receiver who helped take the Birds to the 1960 NFL Championship game. Beloved Philly sports commentator Ray Didinger’s autobiographical show, Tommy and Me, recounts a seminal time in Ray’s life when he helped his lifelong hero get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tommy was drafted by the Eagles in 1957 and played on the team until 1964. At Franklin Field, he helped the Eagles win against Vince Lombardi’s Green Bay Packers.

The one constant in all Sierra Boggess' roles is a heavenly voice that sounds so effortless it hides the stunning technique that lies beneath. She has a lightness of tone that is completely conversational in every register and diction that is enviable. But beyond all these technical gifts, Boggess is masterful at living inside any given lyric without imposing anything on it. She just lets the words do the work. In that, she is a worthy successor to Barbara Cook.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today opened If These Halls Could Talk: Celebrating the Kennedy Center at 50, a yearlong free exhibit running from September 2021 to September 2022 in celebration of its Golden Anniversary.
