The Times Square Alliance announced today the first ever Songs for Our City, a songwriting challenge commissioning new original music from Broadway actors and composers in response to the current COVID-19 crisis, in order to both support artists during this time and provide a unique and interactive way for audiences to enjoy new music while in-person events are on pause.

Last month at Joe's Pub, The Musical Theatre Factory presented a sold-out album release concert of Beau, Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar's thrilling new musical. The evening was a celebration of the world premiere album, recently released on Sony Masterworks Broadway.

Beau, a new musical by Douglas Lyons and Ethan D. Pakchar, has a sound that combines country, folk, and funk sounds and a sweetly internal story. It's a refreshing change of pace that's sure to enter your music rotation.

On Monday October 28th, Musical Theatre Factory will present an album release concert of  Lyons and Pakchar's latest musical Beau.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Wildwood, a new musical created and written by Michael Kimmel (Songbird, The Last Goodbye) with music and lyrics by Elliah Heifetz (Dust Can't Kill Me) on November 7, 2018, 9:30pm. In the 1950's, Wildwood NJ was known as "The Las Vegas of the East." For three months a year, this small south Jersey town turned into the biggest party of the summer. Everything converged in Wildwood- The Rat Pack, doo wop, soul, and the beginnings of rock and roll.
