The Joyce to Present Michela Marino Lerman's ONCE UPON A TIME CALLED NOW

The Joyce Theater Foundation will celebrate the joy of movement, music, and love in a world premiere from renowned tap artist Michela Marino Lerman. The fusion of tap dance improvography and live jazz, entitled Once Upon a Time Called Now, will play The Joyce Theater from March 29-April 3. 

ARMSTRONG NOW! An Evening of Spoken Word & Music Comes to Hudson Hall Next Week

Tony-nominated actor Daniel J. Watts (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical) teams up with Louis Armstrong House Museum Program Director Jake Goldbas for an evening of music, spoken word, and tap dance. Watts will lead the audience through poems, songs, and more that deconstruct the complexities of Armstrong's life with a full house band.

Bard SummerScape Announces BLACK ROOTS SUMMER

Bard SummerScape will celebrate the uplifting spirit of Black music with Black Roots Summer, presented in association with Electric Root and organized and led by the rousing vocalist, bandleader, cultural commentator, and anti-racism educator Michael Mwenso and his longtime collaborator Jono Gasparro, former curator of Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem.

John Minnock To Perform Virtual Show In Support Of New Album 'Herring Cove'

John Minnock, renowned jazz vocalist, will celebrate the release of his new album Herring Cove virtually on June 26th at 7:30PM. Presented by Metropolitan Zoom, this intimate performance will take place at Pinch Recording in Long Island, New York, and can be enjoyed in your living room for $18. Tickets are available here. This virtual concert is in partnership with Jazz at Pride, and all proceeds will go toward the Ali Forney Center.

The Harlem School Of The Arts And The National Jazz Museum In Harlem Present Catskill Jazz Factory's THE SPIRIT OF HARLEM

On Monday, August 26 at 7:00pm, the Harlem School of the Arts (HSA), in partnership with The National Jazz Museum in Harlem (NJMH), and the Catskill Jazz Factory (CJF) will present a special concert performance of The Spirit of Harlem, a celebratory homage to the most iconic moments of Harlem's musical past, and the jazz renaissance currently taking place in New York City. Free to the public, the concert will be held at the HSA Theater, located at 649 St. Nicholas Avenue.
