BLACK BASTARD Comes to Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre in June

This June, writer/performer Jon Joseph Gentry transports audiences to 1990s Houston with his solo show 'Black Bastard.' Portraying over 10 vividly-rendered characters, Gentry guides viewers through a prismatic coming-of-age tale brimming with humor, heart, and stylistic flair.

SMART Opens at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater Next Month

The 2024 Season at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will open with Smart, by Mary Elizabeth Hamilton, directed by Jess Chayes. Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m., June 8-23, 2024.

Oh, boy! Oh, Mary! is coming to Broadway! Written by and starring Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the New York Times Critic’s Pick will begin previews at the Lyceum Theatre on June 26.

Rinaldo Alessandrini and Concerto Italiano to Release Album by Composer Stradella Mottetti

Rinaldo Alessandrini and Concerto Italiano continue their exploration of 17th century Italian motets with a new disc of works by composer Alessandro Stradella (1643-1682), out on Naïve Classiques on June 21, 2024. The album includes Stradella’s Symphonias in D Major and F Major. Except for Stradella’s Exultate in Deo fideles, all of the motets on the album are world premiere recordings.

Richard Linklater Calls Paul Mescal 'Transcendent' in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG Film

In a new interview, director Richard Linklater has praised Paul Mescal, who is playing Franklin Shephard in the film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along. The movie, based on the Sondheim musical that is currently on Broadway, is being shot every couple of years over the course of 20 years.
