Uptown Players and director Cheryl Denson have cast an array of celebrity divas to star in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, running July 13-July 29, 2018. Jack Donahue and Blake McIver enthusiastically come to Dallas to make their Uptown debut, leading the cast alongside Dallasites Dana Harper and Kelly Groves, bringing a wide array of illustrious performance experience to the Kalita Humphreys Theater this summer.

Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name, this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex and violence. Revenge thriller, ghost story, psychological drama, political epic, and family saga, all packed in one, with unforgettable characters, theatrical masterstrokes, and world-famous lines. The Prince of Denmark comes home from college to find his father dead, his mother remarried to his uncle, and a spine-chilling apparition roaming the palace grounds. Hamlet plays August 6 - September 10, 2017, in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Previews run August 6-11, with opening night on Saturday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and are on sale now to the general public.

Jason Lewis directs the regional premiere of Reefer Madness the Musical to close out ACT 1's 2016-17 season, opening June 9. A musical satire based on the 1936 cult film classic, Reefer Madness the Musical opened in Los Angeles in 1998. The book and lyrics were written by Kevin Murphy with music by Dan Studney.

Known for re-imagining works of the past to engage in modern issues, Random Access Theatre is exploring two classic pieces with bold characters who fought against injustice in Resistance and Rebellion in Rep, which opened on May 4th.
