In a recent interview with Variety, Billy Porter opened up about his new role in the Cinderella film, for which production is temporarily suspended. Porter, who will play the Fairy Godmother, explained: 'We have all these sort of genders that we've put on things and it doesn't actually matter. It's not about sex. It's not about sexuality. It's not about gender. It's about magic. It's about being somebody's fairy godmother, father, person, whatever you want to call it. That's what it's about.'

With a commitment to making theatre accessible to all, in 2020 we are launching a new £1 Tickets scheme. A new ticketing initiative, which was piloted throughout 2019, to welcome people from groups and communities who might not be aware of our work, or who may not otherwise have access to theatre a?" available to Under 25s and those receiving Job Seeker's Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit or Carer's Allowance. Tickets are available for all Traverse Theatre Company productions and co-productions (and most visiting company shows, too), across the entire run of a show. With that in mind, we look ahead to next year and reveal the full January-April 2020 season.

Following two sold-out runs at Soho Theatre, HOTTER Project and Ellie Keel Productions today announce HOTTER returns to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year. The production, directed by Jessica Edwards, opens as part of the Underbelly season on 12 August and runs until 25 August, before returning to Soho Theatre from 2 until 7September.
