Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has released a video for “SLEEPING GIANTS”,the title track from his debut solo release SLEEPING GIANTS, in stores now via COMBAT RECORDS. Sleeping Giants is a companion release to his new memoir MORE LIFE WITH DETH, in stores now via Jawbone Press.

Jennifer Hudson Gala Raises $1.1 Million For Music Education At Ravinia

The annual Gala Benefit Evening hosted by Ravinia's Women's Board to support the festival and its Reach Teach Play education programs grossed more than $1.1 million, making it one of the most successful in the 53-year history of the event. Chicago's own Oscar- and Grammy- winning Jennifer Hudson made her Chicago Symphony Orchestra debut, headlining the only concert fundraiser Ravinia puts on for itself. George Hanson, who had served an assistant to Leonard Bernstein, conducted the CSO for the July 14 concert.

Cesear's Forum Will Present PLATH & ORION, Two One-Act Plays

In two one-act plays, the chance meeting and 'catch-up' conversation between two women, furthers and reveals a bond of friendship based on past experiences and higher education. The work, as presented by Cesear's Forum, is entitled PLATH & ORION and comprises Lanford Wilson's THE GREAT NEBULA IN ORION and Greg Cesear's PLATH, SEXTON AND THE ART OF CONFESSION.
