The founder of modern Sadism, Marquis de Sade's works are known for their controversy and sexual violence. More palatable is one of the few surviving plays, written by de Sade during one of his many stints in prison in the late 1700s. OXTIERN is undoubtedly a commentary on the French aristocracy that judged him so harshly.

Avant Garde Afrofuturism Duo Trrma Release 'Shishapangma' Single

Afrofuturism producers Trrmà have released their latest single, 'Shishapangma' on 6th of March. The track was premiered via VENTS Magazine and is lifted from their upcoming album, The Earth's Relief via 577 Records which will be released on 1st of May. The duo have received support from Italian publications Son Of Marketing, Rockerilla and Blow Up. The two have toured Japan, sharing a stage with Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins), Koichi Makigami (Tzadik record), and Doravideo. Trrmà has also collaborated with American visual artist and pianist Charlemagne Palestine whilst one-half of Trrmà, Giovanni Todisco has previously worked with Italian punk duo ?Alos. Having toured Europe, the duo also played at L'homme a deux oreilles and Time Zones Festival.

Performance Space New York continues its second themed season of performances and events-the Posthuman Series-with the U.S. Premiere of choreographer and dancer Mette Ingvartsen's 21 pornographies(October 3-5). The solo performance expands on Ingvartsen's body of work exploring an all-pervasive sexuality, here using physical action and narrative description to take audiences through pornographic history in associative tour de force that is equally stimulating, disturbing, cheerful, and sensuous. Ingvartsen also brings The Permeable Stage - Reimagining the Social, a new installment of her ongoing series of performative conferences, to Performance Space New York (October 7),engaging artists, thinkers, filmmakers, and activists in a dialogue drawing on various Posthuman ideas.

Producer Scott Rudin has announced that to accommodate ticket demand, Edward Albee's Three Tall Women will add a ninth performance in its final week of performances. Nominated for six 2018 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Play, Three Tall Women must close as previously scheduled on Sunday, June 24, with the added 7:00 PM show now the final performance for the ecstatically received production. Tickets are on sale now at Telecharge.com, and at the Golden Theatre box office (252 West 45th Street).

Performance Space New York's East Village Series, the first themed series under the leadership of Executive Artistic Director Jenny Schlenzka, has reexamined the audacious origins of the organization and the communities that formed around it. In 1986, choreographer Ishmael Houston-Jones, composer/guitarist Chris Cochrane, writer Dennis Cooper, and an ensemble of dancers performed the first full version of THEM, an unblinking interdisciplinary work of scored improvisational dance, spoken text, and guitar, at what was then Performance Space 122.
