Following last night's reopening, Disney's Aladdin on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre has announced that tonight's performance has been canceled due to breakthrough Covid-19 cases detected within the company.

Disney’s Aladdin will reopen on Broadway tonight at the New Amsterdam Theatre. New production photos are available, featuring the show’s new Aladdin and Jasmine, Michael Maliakel and Shoba Narayan, along with returning cast member Michael James Scott as Genie.

The full cast has been released for Dreamgirls, as it embarks on its first ever tour of the UK, opening at the Liverpool Empire Theatre this December before visiting cities right across the country throughout 2022 and into 2023.

Metro Theater Company has named five distinguished professionals to its board of directors and four new staff to its existing team. Zions Bank Broadway at the Eccles has announced the First National Tour of Mean Girls—the record-breaking new musical comedy produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman, and Paramount Pictures based on the hit film—will be coming to the Eccles Theater from November 30 to December 5, 2021 as part of the 2021–2022 Broadway Season.

Broadway superstar and Tony Award-nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, AIDA, Something Rotten) will once again step into the well-heeled shoes of Edward Lewis after thrilling audiences on Broadway for a limited set of performances in 2019. He will be joined by rising star Olivia Valli (Jersey Boys, Wicked) as the charming and charismatic Vivian Ward.

“Go Getter,” the first single off the album, has a catchy-as-hell melody with a much-needed message – “Shake off the pressure, sometimes you’ve gotta burn it down to build it better.”

The producers of Mean Girls have announced the North American Tour will relaunch this November following an 85-week hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The record-breaking musical will resume performances with a one-week engagement at ASU Gammage in Tempe, AZ, from November 2-7, 2021, before continuing to 40+ cities across North America.

'In a lot of ways, what we have now, though we kept the name, feels like a brand new band,' the group adds. 'The album has leanings to punk and psych and we started really diving into bands such as Parquet Courts, King Gizzard, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and the Oh Sees. There’s also a lot of influence from early Elvis Costello records.'
