New Musicals Inc. in Los Angeles is sponsoring its sixth annual New Voices Project, in which young playwrights, composers and lyricists receive workshops and concerts of their work, with feedback sessions from executives from Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment and New Musicals Inc.

This exciting series is in it's Second Season and was conceived as an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment. The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, has announced today the roster of performing artists scheduled to perform at the celebrated concert series NEO 2017: A Concert Celebration featuring new works by emerging musical theatre writers Masi Asare, Alan Gordon & Joy Son, Alexander Sage Oyen, and Mark Sonnenblick.

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to the historic Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Monday, August 21st with its fifteenth concert featuring emerging musical theatre artists. Co-hosts, Tony Award winner Marisa Jaret Winokur (HAIRSPRAY) and Ryan O'Connor ('BIG LITTLE LIES,' 'LADYWATCH' podcast), delighted the audience with context and humor between numbers. Gregory Nabours and the dynamic ALNM band (Eric McCann, Emily Rosenfield, and Greg Sadler) provided excellent backup to the singers performing the next generation of musical theatre songs. 

Midnight at The Never Get, the award-winning and critically-acclaimed musical hit of last summer's New York Musical Festival, is enjoying its New England premiere this summer in a co-production by Visceral Entertainment (Michael Chase Gosselin and Tim Sulka) and Dustin Sparks Productions. Tonight, April 24, A Little New Music returns to the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood to present their 14th evening of artists performing new and unheard musical theatre pieces in a classic cabaret setting, with hosts Barrett Foa, (B'way: AVENUE Q, SPELLING BEE, TV: 'NCIS:LA') and ALNM founding producer, Christopher Maikish.

At the 32nd Bistro Awards on March 13, produced by Sherry Eaker, attendees hunkered down at Gotham Comedy Club in the hours before a blizzard hit Manhattan to honor the best in the year's cabaret, comedy and jazz performances. Of course, the prospect of a little snow wouldn't deter honorees from coming out, though it did slightly impact the order of the evening's events, shifting the 'grand finale' to the 'grand opening.'
