National Theatre Announces DANCING AT LUGHNASA, DIXON AND DAUGHTERS, and More

The National Theatre has announced three new productions for 2023 and the revival of the critically acclaimed The Father and the Assassin. A new production devised by The PappyShow will tour directly to 55 schools across England, and National Theatre Live brings The Crucible, Othello and GOOD to cinema goers around the world.

Full Cast Announced For THE WAY OLD FRIENDS DO at Theatre Royal Brighton in May 2023

The full cast has been announced for Ian Hallard's brand new play, The Way Old Friends Do, which will be visiting Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 2 to Saturday 6 May 2023 as part of a UK tour. The cast includes Donna Berlin (Doctors) James Bradshaw (Endeavour), Sara Crowe (Olivier Award winner for Private Lives), Andrew Horton (Jupiter's Legacy) and Rose Shalloo (Call The Midwife).

Park Theatre Announces Holiday Schedule Of Events

 The Park Theatre will be humming throughout December with a wide variety of holiday events. They include concerts, two classic holiday movies, a filmed ballet as well as a stage play plus Santa live for the kiddies.

ANYTHING WITH A PULSE Comes to the Park Theatre Next Month

Exploring the highs, lows and insecurities of two individuals in their early 20s, Anything with a Pulse is a comic story of modern-day dating. In this fast-paced performance, two actors transition between a vast array of different characters, accents and physicalities to build the narrative around the two main love interests who meet on the dance floor, slipping between first and third-person dialogue directed at the audience. 

PRESS Comes to the Park Theatre Next Month

Based on real life stories of journalists who have altered the truth to serve their own stories, Press is the story of a fictional ex-tabloid journalist. Juxtaposing the lack of consequences for his lies with the terrible toll paid by journalists for truth telling in other countries, it asks pertinent questions about media scrutiny and accountability.

TUNNELS Come to the Park Theatre Next Month

Based on the real-life escape stories of the men and women who burrowed under the Berlin Wall in 1968, Tunnels portrays the daring escape of cousins Paul and Freddie Metz during the height of the Cold War. 

Park Theatre Announces Two New Trustees

Park Theatre has announced Chartered Accountant Ibukun Alamutu and Come From Away producer Joe Smith as new trustees. They join Chair of the Board Anthony Clare and board members Kurt Barling, Hedda Beeby, Andrew Cleland-Bogle, Jonathan Edwards, Bharat Mehta, Rufus Olins, Victoria Phillips and Julia Tyrell.

KING HAMLIN Comes to the Park Theatre Next Month

Against the backdrop of urban London, King Hamlin follows young friends Hamlin, Quinn and Nic as they experience the tensions of a friendship punctured by pride, revenge and turf wars. Interweaving urgent issues of poverty, race and social class, Williams sheds a light on the external pressures causing a devastating impact on communities in today's uncertain climate. The world premiere of playwright Gloria Williams' latest play follows in the footsteps of Bullet Hole, which premiered at Park Theatre in 2018 to critical acclaim.

Cast Announced for SUS at Park Theatre

The cast has been announced for Dilated Theatre Company's revival of Barrie Keeffe's SUS: joining director Paul Tomlinson in returning to the show following their 2013 production, Alexander Neal will reprise his role as Karn. He is joined by British-Montserratian actor Stedroy Cabey as Delroy, and Fergal Coghlan (For King and Country Southwark Playhouse, The Mousetrap St Martin's Theatre) completes the cast as Wilby.

Park Theatre Announces its Autumn/Winter Season

Park Theatre has announced its Autumn / Winter season, including the previously announced adaptation of Christopher Isherwood's A Single Man, and a mini-festival supporting emerging writers with two-week runs of their shows paired into double bills. For Christmas, the venue presents an Outer Hebridean mystery based on a true story set on Boxing Day 1900.

Alexandra Palace Announces its First Young Actors Company

Alexandra Palace’s first ever Young Actors Company is preparing for its inaugural performance in the Palace’s award-winning Theatre on Wednesday, 6 July. The Company – the first of its kind in the history of Alexandra Palace - is made up of 26 actors, all aged 18-24, based in Haringey, neighbouring boroughs and wider London.

Birmingham Rep Announces Further Work For 2022/23

Sean Foley, the Artistic Director of Birmingham Rep announced two new comedies to start the New Year '23, including the world premiere of Spitting Image Live: Featuring the Liar King, as well as the completion of the Autumn '22 Season.
