National Tour of WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME to Relaunch at the Guthrie Theatre This September

The national tour of What the Constitution Means to Me, Heidi Schreck’s Tony Award-nominated Pulitzer Prize finalist play, directed by Oliver Butler, will relaunch this fall at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis, MN on September 30, 2021, starring Cassie Beck in the leading role.

Tobias Menzies (The Crown) and Tony winner Sophie Okonedo (Ratched) joined the cast of the star-studded second season of Modern Love. They appear in an episode directed by John Carney, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. The episode and series recently completed filming in Dublin, Ireland.

Today, The 24 Hour Plays announced that the 10th annual application for The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will be available starting March 24, 2021 and will run through April 11, 2021. The 24 Hour Plays: Nationals will take place virtually (for the second year in a row) and applicants from everywhere are engaged to apply.

Last night, The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues celebrated its landmark tenth edition. In the biggest round yet, 28 actors were paired with the industry's top writers, who created new pieces just for them in only 24 hours. From 6 PM on, the new monologues were published, one every 15 minutes.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, What the Constitution Means to Me is in the process of being recorded for eventual future release. BroadwayWorld has now learned from a production representative that in addition to being filmed at the end of the show's Broadway run in August, additional footage will be captured next week at a Brooklyn soundstage. No details have been released yet on where and when the recording may be released.i??
