Following the announcement about the soundtrack, the main trailer for the upcoming Barbie movie has been released. The video features a preview of Dua Lipa's new song from the film. From Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Lady Bird”) comes “Barbie,” starring Margot Robbie (“Bombshell,” “I, Tonya”) and Ryan Gosling (“La La Land,” “Half Nelson”).

Dua Lipa is set to release 'Dance the Night,' a new single from the upcoming Barbie movie soundtrack, this Friday. The song will be released at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 25. 'Dance the Night' is from 'Barbie: the Album.' Further information on the album has not yet been revealed. Listen to a preview of the song now!

Playwright James Ijames has written an all too relevant story about what happens when a community and sense of place fragments, shifts and splinters off into new paradigms.  Carrie St. Louis will star as Elle Woods in the Kansas City Starlight Production of LEGALLY BLONDE. The production will be Directed and Choreographed by Nikki Snelson, who originated the role of Brooke Wyndham in the Original Broadway production of Legally Blonde. St. Louis most recently starred in the off-Broadway hit TITANIQUE, as well as starring roles in Kinky Boots, Wicked, and Rock of Ages on Broadway. 

Ensemble Studio Theatre (Estefanía Fadul and Graeme Gillis, Co-Artistic Directors) and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation (Doron Weber, Vice President and Program Director) have announced the lineup for the 2023 First Light Festival, part of the EST/Sloan Project to develop plays exploring science and technology.  

TV producer and writer Wendy Calhoun filled the keynote slot this week at the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s fourth annual Young Women’s Leadership Conference (YWLC). The program was held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts District.

Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) will conclude the 2022-2023 season with its production of Alice in Wonderland, on stage May 19-21 at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas and May 26-28 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.
