PRIVATE REELS: FROM THE LCT ARCHIVES, streamed recordings of LCT productions in their entirety, will continue on Thursday, June 10 with the Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 2019 world premiere production of MARYS SEACOLE by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury (Fairview), directed by LCT Resident Director Lileana Blain-Cruz.

Drawing more from her wide-ranging reading list than her favourite bands, Laura deals with the gruelling emotional matters of 21st-century life with honesty, grace and warmth, referencing Ursula Le Guin, Barbara Kingsolver, Kurt Vonnegut, Margaret Atwood and Mark Westmoquette along the way.

“’I’ll Start A Fire’ was the first of two songs I wrote in September 2020 that jostled for a space on the record (the second was ‘Black Car’), and I’m so glad they did,” recalls Laura.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced that has extended the run of its critically-acclaimed production of MARYS SEACOLE, a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, through Sunday, April 7 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). The production, which features Gabby Beans, Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Marceline Hugot, Karen Kandel, Ismenia Mendes, and Lucy Taylor, opened on Monday, February 25 and was originally scheduled through Sunday, March 24.

Directed and choreographed by Obie Award winner Lee Sunday Evans (Caught, D Deb Debbie Deborah, A Beautiful Day in November…, [Porto]), the play is the fifth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.
