Westport Country Playhouse To Present Sunday Symposium Following Premiere of Molière's DON JUAN

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium on November 10, following a 3 p.m. performance of the world premiere translation and adaption of Molière's, a?oeDon Juan,a?? a modern take on the classic, comic satire. Speakers will be Brendan Pelsue, translator and adaptor of a?oeDon Juan,a?? and David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director and director of a?oeDon Juan.a?? They will engage in conversation about the modern-dress production of the classic comedy, moderated by Dana Tanner-Kennedy, production dramaturg for a?oeDon Juan.a?? The Playhouse Sunday Symposium program is free and open to the public.

Edmund Bagnell, Singing Violinist Of Well-Strung Brings New Solo Show To Feinstein's/54 Below

Edmund Bagnell, 1st Violinist & vocalist of the internationally acclaimed group Well-Strung, will star in the New York premiere of He Plays The Violin at Feinstein's/54 Below on Nov. 25 at 9:30 PM. The show is being developed by New Works Provincetown at The Art House this fall and includes a brand new song written for Mr. Bagnell by Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens & War Paint). Through stories and song, the evening celebrates all things music, from classical to standards and from pop to Broadway, and of course with a good dose of fiddle thrown in. This piece shows a different side of Edmund Bagnell in this personal and uplifting journey through music, and is written by and starring Edmund Bagnell, conceived by Mark Cortale, music directed by Matt Aument and directed by Michael Schiralli.

Irish Rep Announces Full Casting For LONDON ASSURANCE

Irish Repertory Theatre announces full casting for London Assurance, written by Dion Boucicault (The Shaughraun) and directed by Charlotte Moore (The Plough and the Stars). Performances begin on December 6, 2019 on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage (132 W 22nd Street) with an opening night set for December 15, for a limited run through January 26, 2020.
