Producer Rick Murray will present the 2018 Cabaret Series in Provincetown, MA this summer at The Crown & Anchor's Paramount Theatre, Cabaret Room, and Town Hall Auditorium.  Tickets are now on sale for the Series, in which an impressive list of award-winning stars will be performing live in full concerts.  Following up on last summer's smash hit season, the 2018 Cabaret Series will include the talents of comedian Paula Poundstone as well as Broadway stars Lucie Arnaz (They're Playing Our Song, Pippin), Telly Leung (Aladdin, Allegiance), Anthony Rapp (Rent, If/Then), Linda Eder (Jekyll and Hyde), and Emmy Award winners Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace) and Bruce Vilanch.

TDF, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing the power of the performing arts to everyone, which is celebrating 50 years of service to audiences and the performing arts community in 2018, has announced it will be honoring Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning playwright TONY KUSHNER at its 50th Anniversary Gala on Monday, June 18 at Manhattan's historic Gotham Hall (1356 Broadway @ 36th Street, NYC). Mr. Kushner's masterwork, Angels in America, is currently receiving its first Broadway revival with the National Theatre production at the Neil Simon Theatre.

NEXTGEN BROADWAY, the premiere performing group from David Green's Musical Theatre University in Southern California have recorded an anthem to support the efforts of March for Our Lives, the organization which supports the end of gun violence in schools, following the tragic event at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14. Don't Tell Mama is thrilled to present the return engagement of West End & Broadway star and Olivier Award-nominee Liz Robertson in 'Lerner Without Loewe,' an affectionate musical tribute to her late husband, Alan Jay Lerner, the internationally acclaimed author of My Fair Lady, currently in previews at The Vivian Beaumont Theatre and opening on April 19. Having debuted the show in a one night engagement last April, she now returns for three (3) performances -  Friday, April 13 at 7pm, Saturday, April 14 at 8pm, and Sunday, April 15 at 6pm. The evening is directed by Barry Kleinbort with musical direction by Ron Abel.

It's time to strike up the band, for our 6th annual concert by the McCallum Theatre Concert Band on Sunday, March 25, at 3:00pm. The McCallum's own Chad Hilligus will sing music by Leonard Bernstein, and virtuoso tubist John van Houten will play the haunting "Gabriel's Oboe." Plus, music from Bizet's "Carmen," "Yiddish Dances" by Adam Gorb, and marches from the U.S., Canada, New Zealand and more.  And there's free ice cream for everyone after the concert! This season's McCallum Theatre Band Concert, led by McCallum President and CEO Mitch Gershenfeld (Conductor), will feature Chad Hilligus (Tenor), John Van Houten (Tuba), and Patricia Bosley (Guest Conductor). 

REPRISE 2.0 is now announced, presenting a season of three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, by Marcia Seligson, Producing Artistic Director of the new performing arts organization.  REPRISE 2.0 is partnering with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT), chaired by Brian Kite.

Producer Dennis Grimaldi is proud to announce that Tony and Emmy Winner Len Cariou will star in two industry-only presentations of George Eastman's new play, HARRY TOWNSEND'S LAST STAND.  Cariou will be joined by Warren Bub (TV's Gotham, Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated at The New Ohio Theatre).

BroadwayWorld is sad to share the news today that legendary filmmaker Rick McKay has passed away earlier this week. A longtime friend of the web site, and constant presence in the theatre world, McKay has long been at work on two sequels to his 2004 hit film, Broadway: The Golden Age.

On Saturday, January 20, the Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum was the elegant setting for Jim Caruso's Cast Party! Host Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch created a concert version of their usually-impromptu open mic with a dazzling cast of (mostly) local performers. The sold-out house was entertained by Lucie Arnaz, Alix Korey, Karina Nuvo, David Zippel, Iris Williams, Jane Monheit, Julie Garnye, and Travis Cloer. The Cast Party Symphony Orchestra was helmed by Stritch at piano, as well as bassist Jeff Stover and Rick Montalbano on drums. 

The Unique Panel Discussion will celebrate a new book by Ronald Rand, "CREATE!
