Abingdon Theatre Company - which has produced more than 77 new American plays in its 20-year history - has announced that its 20th Anniversary Gala and dinner is set for tonight, November 19 at Espace (635 West 42nd Street) Manhattan, beginning at 6pm.

TheatreSquared announced today the 2012 Gala for Education, supporting arts-in-education outreach for 10,000 students and teachers from Northwest Arkansas to the Arkansas Delta. Famed entertainers Lucie Arnaz and Laurence Luckinbillwill serve alongside NWA community members as honorary co-chairs, with Luckinbill, an Arkansas Entertainer's Hall of Fame inductee, performing. The 2012 Arts Advocate Award will be presented toDenise and Hershey Garner, recognizing their decades of service to the region. The event will be held November 15, 2012, 6:30pm at Mermaids Restaurant, 2217 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville . Individual tickets are $125, sponsor tickets are $250, and table sponsorships range from $1,000 to $5,000. 92nd Street Y announces casting for the 2013 season of Lyrics & Lyricists™. Jason Danieley, Rebecca Luker, Barbara Carroll and James Naughton are among the performers from the worlds of Broadway, jazz and cabaret presenting a panoramic journey through the American Songbook via New York, London, Hollywood, and Stratford-on-Avon. L&L's shows this season explore Shakespeare on Broadway, iconic singer/lyricist Peggy Lee, a fresh take on Jerome Kern, and our look at Vernon Duke's and W. S. Gilbert's influence on Broadway. Coyote StageWorks launches its fourth season on November 23 with the Tony-nominated comedy "Souvenir" and follows up with a season that consists of "a little something for everyone". The award-winning North Shore Theatre (NSMT) is pleased to welcome Broadway star Dee Hoty to the cast of 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL. Due to a severe back injury (annular tear of the L5 disc), the previously announced Lucie Arnaz will be unable to play the role of Violet in 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL scheduled to open Tuesday, September 25, and play through Sunday, October 7.
