The Public Theater announced a one-week extension of the world premiere play CULLUD WATTAH through Sunday, December 12. Written by Susan Smith Blackburn Prize winner Erika Dickerson-Despenza and directed by Lilly Award winner Candis C. Jones, CULLUD WATTAH follows three generations of Black women living through the Flint Water Crisis.

The world premiere of CULLUD WATTAH by Erika Dickerson-Despenza and directed by Candis C. Jones began previews on Tuesday, November 2 and will run through Sunday, December 5, with an official opening on Wednesday, November 17.

Directed by Lilly Award winner Candis C. Jones, SHADOW/LAND will be available for free on-demand streaming through April 13, 2022.

Clubbed Thumb has announced the world premiere of The Woman’s Party. Originally slated to premiere as part of the 2020 Summerworks Festival, the piece will now premiere virtually. The Woman’s Party has been divided into three 30-minute episodes, which were filmed over the course of four weeks remotely from each actor’s home.

New Federal Theatre Celebrates Women's History Month with an online readings series.

On March 13 and 20, 2021 New York's New Federal Theatre (NFT) will present 'New Federal Theatre Celebrates Women's History Month,' a retrospective readings series in which significant plays from the '80s on generational issues in Black women's lives will be recreated by noted actors and directors.  The readings will be free and accessible from NFT's website, https://www.newfederaltheatre.com. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
