University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre is back on stage after a year off from live performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first production of the season, Red by Somalia Seaton will open Oct. 19, 2021 and run through Oct. 23, 2021.

“It all began with Wizard of Oz at Maine State Music Theatre,” confides ten-year-old Lily Philbrook. “That was the show where I found my real passion for theatre. It was a huge show and working with Marc [Robin] and everyone at MSMT was an amazing experience.” In those performances, for Lily Philbrook, a dream was born- one that would carry her over her own rainbow – to performing on stages at leading regional theatres.

After over a year of being shuttered due to COVID-19, Perseverance Theatre is reopening its doors and returning to live, in-person theatre in the fall. National and local health and safety guidelines will be in place.

Reilly, Israel López Reyes, Nikkole Salter, Jimmy Smits, and Phillipa Soo; as well as some of the playwrights performing their own pieces.

A starry cast, some of whom will perform their own work, has been set for the Ojai Playwrights Conference presentation of “Connections,” a virtual celebration to benefit the OPC 2021 season, on Saturday, June 12 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time/ 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

Recipients of the New Vision Fellowship have been announced. The 2021 New Vision Fellowship playwrights will each be awarded $5,000, fully funded by National Queer Theater, to develop a play, musical, or performance experience of their design and choosing.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre will host RANDOM ACTS, a solo play written and performed by Obie Award winner Renata Hinrichs. Directed by Jessi D. Hill, performances begin May 23 at the cell. Performances will be presented open air for a strictly limited audience.
