Broadway veteran Lisa Brescia will join the company of the Tony Award-winning musical as 'Heidi Hansen,' marking her return to Broadway after more than a decade. Brescia begins performances today, August 7, 2018 succeeding Rachel Bay Jones, who plays her final performance on August 5, 2018.

Rachel Bay Jones, who originated the role of Heidi in Broadway's Dear Evan Hansen, will play her final performance today, August 5.

The Jimmy Awards have just announced the industry coaches for the tenth annual awards ceremony on Monday, June 25th at 7:30PM at the Minskoff Theatre. The six coaches - Lisa Brescia, MaryAnn Hu, Adam Kantor, Howard McGillin, Natalie Weiss, And Schele Williams - will mentor the 80 high school students from across America who will compete for the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress.

AT THIS PERFORMANCE… featuring Standbys and Understudies from AVENUE Q, BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, CAROUSEL, ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE and SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL returns to THE GREEN ROOM 42, Monday, June 11th.

Nick Blaemire (Godspell on Broadway, Spongebob Squarepants, Chicago production) will star in a one-day-only free reading of "The National Debt Is Paid" by Ben Bartolone on May 17th. Frankie J. Alvarez will direct. The reading will be presented by THE BLUESTONE PROJECT, as part of the first season presenting never-produced plays that address the shifting socio-political American landscape.

Luis Salgado (In The Heights) will direct a one-night-only free reading of "Checo, Albany" by Hadasa Mercado Cortes on Feb 15th. The reading will be presented by THE BLUESTONE PROJECT, as part of the first season presenting never-produced plays that address the shifting socio-political American landscape.

Broadway Records today announced that Hamlisch Uncovered will be released digitally today, December 15, 2017 and in stores today, January 26, 2018.

This concert brought the series officially to 900 performers.

In the creative world, there are few names as admired and respected as Marvin Hamlisch. One of only two people to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony, and Pulitzer (the other being Richard Rodgers), his contributions to the American music canon have been lauded and have entered the popular imagination. On the new album Hamlisch Uncovered, the great composer's songbook is opened up to share previously unrecorded gems, with the help of an array of Broadway stars.
