Kinky Boots released a sneak peek into their rehearsal room as they prepare to return to the stage beginning on July 26th at off-Broadway’s Stage 42. The video features a behind the scenes look as the company prepares to put the boots on once again, as well as interviews with select company members about the show’s impact and the journey of bringing the uplifting story back to NYC.   

Casting has been announced for the upcoming Off-Broadway engagement of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical, Kinky Boots. Performances will begin on July 26th at Stage 42, with an opening night set for August 25th.

This new musical with book, lyrics and music by Dustin Ceithamer, set in the eccentric world of 1980's Wrestling, features Nick Rashad Burroughs, Blaine Alden Krauss, AJ Rafael, Correy West, Jamari Johnson Williams,  Adrianna Rose Lyons, Dexter McKinney Jr., Karl Warden, Matthew Ballestero and more!

To complete the 2020 Season, New Theatre presents Picnic At Hanging Rock, adapted by Tom Wright, from the novel by Joan Lindsay.

On a blistering summer's day in 1900, three private school girls and their teacher inexplicably vanished while on a day-trip to Hanging Rock in country Victoria. It was supposed to be a Valentine's Day treat. They were meant to be home for dinner. They were never seen again.

BROADWAY FRIGHT NIGHT returns for its third annual all-new celebration of songs from musicals with Supernatural, Horror and Sci-Fi themes. This special concert event will be held on Monday, October 28th at The Green Room 42, Yotel NYC, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), 4th Floor, New York, NY 10036 at 7 PM. Disney's Freaky Friday just opened at North Shore Music Theatre. Based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers. It was then made into a movie by Disney in 1976 staring Jody Foster and Barbara Harris, with a less memorable movie remake in 2018. It is now a newly created, fun family musical with all the bells and whistles.

This March, BAM continues two ongoing programs: Screen Epiphanies featuring Robert Bresson's Au Hasard Balthazar (1966), chosen by filmmaker Anna Rose Holmer; and Beyond the Canon on March 30, featuring a double bill of Holmer's narrative feature debut The Fits (2015) and Peter Weir's dreamy classic Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975).

It's a blistering summer's day and four pupils and their teacher set off for a picnic at nearby Hanging Rock. They were supposed to be back in time for dinner. All but one vanish, never to be seen again.

Tick Tock Tick Tock. That was the sound that we heard the moment we enter the auditorium. All the casts were already on the stage, sitting on a chair with tables in front of them, acting as if we are not even there to saw them. Behind them there was a blackboard that says 'Perfectly Useless Movement'. The last Tick Tock was followed by a gong sound and JYPA's (Jakarta Youth for Performing Arts) Picnic at Hanging Rock opens with the thrilling announcement from all the girls on stage and the play begins.
