A recipient of the 2022 Tony Awards Honor for Excellence in the Theatre, 54 Below celebrates Broadway musicals and writers of the past and present, promoting an ongoing engagement with their work.

What did our critic think of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL at John W. Engeman Theater At Northport? I must admit I was a little hesitant in seeing The Scarlet Pimpernel because I was starting to believe Frank Wildhorn was a one-hit wonder on Broadway. That one hit wonder of course being Jekyll & Hyde, a great musical with a fantastic score despite what the critics said. His latest productions that I've seen (Wonderland, Bonnie and Clyde) just didn't measure up.

What did our critic think of COWBOY BOB at ALLEY THEATRE? Despite any narrative difficulties, COWBOY BOB is still something to see. It’s a celebration of what a daring musical should feel like. It asks tough questions, it presents us with gorgeous ballads, and it shows off truly Texan stage design that feels authentic. Like the real life Peggy Tallas, it’s a brave piece that moves in bold directions.

BroadwayWorld had the chance to sit down at the Garrick Theatre and talk with Frank Wildhorn, the composer of Bonnie & Clyde. We discussed the evolution of the show, audience reactions around the world, and why the show is so relevant today.

The recently renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents celebrated songstress and award-winning Broadway star, Linda Eder live in concert on Sunday, January 22 at 7pm. Tickets range from $29-$69.  

Showcasing one of the greatest voices of our time, Linda Eder will make a return to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at 7pm as part of the Teed & Brown Broadway & Cabaret Series and 068 Magazine Singer Songwriter Series.

The creative team adapting F. Scott Fitzgerald’s landmark novel The Great Gatsby into a Broadway-bound stage musical has been announced. Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida's sixth annual holiday performance is coming to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., led by Artistic Director Gabe Salazar. This year's featured guest star is Tony Award-nominee, singer and songwriter Shoshana Bean.
