Singer Fred Aiese reprises his show Ballads, Blues And A Boy From Brooklyn at Don't Tell Mama on Sunday, May 5 at 1:30 PM with a second show scheduled for Monday, July 15 at 7 PM. Rick Jensen is at the piano. The show, directed by Lina Koutrakos, features a diversity of material, sung in different styles from well known to the somewhat 'obscure,' from Bobby Troup to Tom Waits to traditional blues-with a dollop of humor thrown into the act for good measure.

The award-winning cabaret performer, Katie McGrath, reprises her show Aunt of the Year at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, April 18th at 7 PM. The show explores how a happily childless, pleasure-seeking single woman became a besotted aunt to a tribe of nieces and nephews, using pop, jazz and soul songs to tell her story.

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) has announced the 2019 MAC Award nominees. The nominees, in a majority of the categories, were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership. Special committees selected the nominees in the Ensemble Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Instrumentalist, Piano Bar Singing Entertainer (Female; Male), Recording (LaMott Friedman), Major Recording, Song and Comedy/Novelty Song categories.

2018 MAC Award-Winner DAWN DEROW Brings Birthday Party Show to BEACH CAFE, Today

Dawn Derow, the 2018 MAC Award-Winner for 'Best Female Vocalist,' will display her great vocal range and outgoing performing personality at New York's Beach Cafe (1326 2nd Avenue, corner of 70th Street) with THE DAWN DEROW BIRTHDAY PARTY SHOW today, November 24 at 9:30 pm (Dinner seating at 8:00 pm). Directed by Lina Koutrakos and featuring Music Director Mark Janas on piano and Sean Harkness on guitar, Derow's Birthday Party Show will offer an eclectic mix of songs, including favorites from Legit and her 2011-2014 show with Harkness, Music 4 Two. Helping Dawn celebrate her birthday will be special guest vocalists, including multiple award-winning cabaret performer Celia Berk (who was a guest singer in Legit), MAC Award-nominee and concert performer Suzanne Fiore (also a Boston Conservatory graduate), and Jason Reiff, who has starred as 'Marius' in the national tour of Les Miserables. Fiore and Reiff will join Derow on songs by Heart, Brandi Carlyle, The Indigo Girls, and Sara Bareilles.

Paul Fraccalvieri rejoins the cast of the holiday treat, 'Hansel & Gretel Christmas' for the FACT THEATRE COMPANY 'S special Thanksgiving Sunday performance November 25 at Manhattan Rep 17 W. 45th Street 3rd floor @ 1pm and continues through December (December 2-9-16) in this one-hour modernized version of the classic children's story.
