There has been a lot of news swirling around stage to screen adaptations in the past few weeks, from Lin-Manuel Miranda directing a TICK, TICK... BOOM! movie, to Diane Paulus directing NBC's HAIR LIVE!, and this Friday, the Disney Channel original movie of the FREAKY FRIDAY musical will premiere.
Six began as a Cambridge University student production before heading to the Edinburgh Fringe last year. It returns to Edinburgh this year following on from a successful run at the Arts Theatre in London and a UK tour.
Broadway director and writer Gordon Greenberg has revised the book for Meet Me In St. Louis at The Muny. Performances began August 4 and will run until August 12. This production, the 8th in Muny history, will also include several songs new to the stage adaptation of Meet Me In St. Louis, including 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me,' a song written by Rodgers & Hammerstein for Oklahoma! and then recorded for, but ultimately cut, from the film of Meet Me In St. Louis. This production will also include the first stage use of 'You and I,' a song in the film by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed.

Huntington Theatre Company will present the New England premiere of the hit musical comedy Spamilton: An American Parody at the Wimberly Theatre in the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA in Boston's South End, from February 12 to March 10, 2019. Spamilton joins the 2018 - 2019 season as a special added event. Tickets are now on sale only to Huntington subscribers; any remaining tickets will be made available for sale to the public in December.
