The Marsh Berkeley announces the extension of Don Reed's wonderfully wild autobiography Can You Dig It?: The '60s through September. Hot on the heels of Reed's hilarious and critically acclaimed East 14th and The Kipling Hotel, Reed (HBO, Snap Judgment, Amazon Prime) takes Bay Area audience members on a nostalgic ride through the amusing and oftentimes turbulent 1960s and beyond. Can You Dig It?: The '60s takes place before Reed's father became a pimp, before little Donnie was forced into that door-knocking religion, and includes some mind-blowing and unbelievably true tales.
Mark Cortale's premiere season of the Broadway @ Dreamland concert series is set to welcome one of Broadway's favorite, and fastest-rising leading ladies to Nantucket next month. Megan Hilty, breakout star of NBC TV's "Smash" and Broadway's "Wicked" and a Tony nominee for the recent Broadway production of "Noises Off", makes her Nantucket debut on Wednesday, August 8 at 7:30 PM.
According to Variety, a new BBC series titled HIS DARK MATERIALS will feature an all-star cast consisting of Lin-Manuel Miranda, James McAvoy, and Ruth Wilson. The series is based on fantasy novels written by Philip Pullman.

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, opens its 2018/19 season with Qui Nguyen's Vietgone, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, featuring original music and music direction by Gabriel Ruiz and choreography by Tommy Rapley. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the selection of four Honorees who will receive the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements, and a special Honors distinction for a work of art and its co-creators. Recipients to be honored at the 41st annual national celebration of the arts are: singer and actress Cher, composer and pianist Philip Glass, Country music entertainer Reba McEntire, and jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter. This year, the co-creators of Hamilton-writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Thomas Kail, choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler, and music director Alex Lacamoire-will receive a unique Kennedy Center Honors as trailblazing creators of a transformative work that defies category.

According to Variety, FX has ordered an eight-part mini series about of the lives of iconic Broadway duo, Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, based on Sam Wasson's book, 'Fosse.' Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams are attached to lead the series. Production is set to start this fall, with an expected 2019 premiere.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a bidding war is underway for the rights to a big screen version of the Broadway hit. The movie would be a filmed, onstage version of the musical that was recorded in 2016, featuring creator Lin-Manuel Miranda in the title role, as well as other original cast members.
