As a kickoff to Festival Latino 2019, CAPA and the Cultural Arts Center, with additional support from the Columbus Museum of Art and Our Lady of Guadalupe Center at Catholic Social Services, have partnered to present Pasos de Arte 2019, a visual art exhibit that explores the richness of the Latino culture through the work of Ohio-based Latino artists. Pasos de Arte will run August 9-September 14 at the Cultural Arts Center's Main Gallery (139 W. Main St.). Admission is free.

En el libro Iniciación a José Emilio Pacheco, el ensayista y crítico español Luis Antonio de Villena ofrece un recorrido por la obra del poeta, novelista y traductor mexicano, con particular acento en su poesía, “de la más importante y brillante que se ha hecho en castellano”, comentó el autor durante la presentación del volumen en la Sala Adamo Boari del Palacio de Bellas Artes.

SHOWTIME has announced the cast for HOMBRE, its new pilot from Academy Award® nominee Jonas Cuarón (Gravity). Marisé Alvarez (The Vessel), Greg Grunberg (A Star Is Born), Pepi Sonuga (Famous In Love), Adriana Santos (Taken) and Noah Reyes will join executive producer and Golden Globe® winner Gael García Bernal (Mozart In The Jungle, Coco) for the emotional thriller, which is set to begin production at the end of April in Los Angeles. The project is created by Cuarón, who will also direct the pilot and serve as executive producer. HOMBRE is a co-production from SHOWTIME and Makeready.

Virtual training sessions are underway for the ninth edition of the NALAC Advocacy Leadership Institute taking place on April 8-10, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
Welcome to Theatre Under The Stars 50th Anniversary Season Gala, an incredible and intimate celebration this past Saturday, March 23rd with Broadway star Idina Menzel and more than 600 TUTS family and friends. Many guests said it was the "best gala" they had ever attended. The gorgeous event designed by Taylor DeMartino of Blooming Gallery not only turned The Post Oak Hotel grand ballroom into a supper club "under the stars" that night, but guests experienced the magic of live musical theatre while supporting a great cause. A private meet and greet with Menzel was given to top sponsors along with gifts donated by David Peck. This historic event raised more funds than any other Gala in TUTS history - $1.37 million for "Houston's Home for Musical Theatre".
