Country music veteran Deborah Allen was surprised with a special presentation by T.G. Sheppard, Kelly Lang and WSM's Devon O'Day at Nashville's 3rd & Lindsley Wednesday night during the 6th annual Country For A Cause, benefiting Monroe Carell Jr's Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. A proclamation from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, celebrating Deborah's 40 years in country music, was tearfully and happily received. The honor acknowledges not only her contributions as a singer, but also as a celebrated, successful songwriter having been awarded seven BMI One Million Air-Play Awards for her hit songwriting repertoire and one BMI Two Million Air-Play Award for her smash hit “Baby I Lied.”

The fourth Musco Center for the Arts season at Chapman University will run September 2019 through May 2020 with a packed schedule of artists and groups from the worlds of opera, dance, theatre, and classical music as well as Broadway, jazz, country, and American roots music. Modern country singer and songwriter Ava Rowland world premiered a new video today for 'Exit Sign' on her YouTube channel [Click here to watch]. The song is the second single from Ava's 2018 EP, Polaroid Picture. Gianandrea Noseda will lead the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in their first Carnegie Hall concert together on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. This performance in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage marks the Orchestra's first performance in six years at the Hall.

Country music newcomer and Taste of Country Artist To Watch Tiffany Woys is excited to announce the release of her self-titled debut EP on February 22.  For the  four-song passion project over five years in the making, Woys engaged Nashville's top songsmiths, including: Shane McAnally, Trevor Rosen, Sara Haze, Matt Bronlewee, Todd Clark, Jason Saenz, Justin Halpin, Bobby Campbell and Matthew Joseph Rogers. Adding to the songwriting star-power, the EP features the “fun and fiery” lead track, “Priceless,” a love-fueled anthem written by hitmakers Emily Shackelton (“Every Little Thing”), Kelly Archer (“Sleep Without You”) and Mickey Guyton (“Better Than You Left Me”). The Country Music Association, which recently announced its new international artist-focused touring series, Introducing Nashville, has added back-to-back performances at Blue Note Tokyo in Japan on Saturday, March 30 featuring Brandy Clark, Devin Dawson and Lindsay Ell. Prior to Japan, Introducing Nashville will visit multiple cities in Australia and New Zealand with Clark, Dawson, Ell and Tenille Townes (Australia only). Chevel Shepherd, a 16-year-old female country artist from Farmington, N.M., was crowned champion of "The Voice" tonight. The popular young singer from Team Kelly earned coach Kelly Clarkson her second consecutive "Voice" win on the four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series.
