Classic Stage Company's highly-acclaimed new production of the musical CARMEN JONES featuring Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose, which opened last night (Wednesday, June 27) to rave reviews, has extended its run through Sunday, August 19 at CSC (136 East 13th Street). Directed by CSC's Tony Award-winning Artistic Director John Doyle and choreographed by Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones, CARMEN JONES  features book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and music by Georges Bizet.

Classic Stage Company announced today that Clifton Duncan, most recently seen on Broadway in The Play That Goes Wrong, will play the role of Joe in the company's new production of the musical CARMEN JONES, now beginning performances Saturday, June 9 (8pm) at CSC (136 East 13th Street).

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, has announced a one-week extension of Company.

Aaron Tveit (Broadway's Catch Me If You Can, Next to Normal), who returns to Barrington Stage Company after previously playing 'Matt' in the 2007 production of Calvin Berger, stars as 'Bobby' in Company at BSC. BroadwayWorld has a first look at Tveit and the cast in action below!

Barrington Stage Company (recently voted Best of The Berkshires) set a new record at the opening night of Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY last night. There appeared to be more selfie photos attempted of Aaron Tveit the show's star and cast leaving the stage door of the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage than happen by the ever present throngs in Broadway's Shubert Alley a show. Aaron, who was Bobby in the extraordinary production directed by BSC's founder and artistic director Julianne Boyd, was mobbed by  what seemed like the entire audience asTveit and the cast tried exit the stage door and continue on to the after party at the home of BSC Chair, Minky and Bruno Quinson. 

Elizabeth Stanely is going back to before this summer... or at least back to the Berkshires. Freshly off of her trip around the country in the national tour of The Bridges of Madison County, she is channeling her maternal instincts in Barrington Stage Company's Ragtime, playing through July 15 in Downtown Pittsfield, MA.
