Dorset Theatre Festival announces its 2015 Season, featuring 3 Regional Premieres, 2 Pulitzer Prize winners, its 6th Annual New Play Reading Series and new for this year - a Family Fun Series designed to introduce quality theatre to the next generation of theatre-goers. "When I went about looking for the right plays for us to present this summer, my one criteria was to find plays that were moving, that make people care. These plays all have that quality, and whether funny, sad, or thought-provoking, people will walk out of the Playhouse this summer inspired and moved by what they have seen," says Dorset Theatre Festival Artistic Director, Dina Janis.

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced that applications are open for the fifth summer of retreats for musical theatre writers and are due February 23. Rhinebeck Writers Retreat will host 8 writing teams with 8 individual weeklong residencies in a private home in the countryside near Rhinebeck, New York. The retreats will take place between June 28 and August 30. Applications are due February 23 and the submission fee is $25.

Signature Theatre continues its commitment to presenting bold new contemporary plays with the DC area premiere of Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason. After its New York premiere at Second Stage Theatre this summer, Signature is proud to introduce this play to DC audiences. Running now through December 7, Sex with Strangers will be presented in Signature's intimate 110-seat ARK Theatre. Directed by Aaron Posner (Signature's The Last Five Years, Woolly Mammoth's Stupid F***ing Bird), the production stars Holly Twyford (Signature's The Little Dog Laughed) as Olivia and Luigi Sottile (Steppenwolf's Buena Vista) as Ethan. Rattlestick Playwrights Theater announces the 2014 F*ck!ng Good Plays (festival, V): six (6) days of new play readings by six of today's hottest playwrights. The festival, to be presented at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place, west of Seventh Avenue South between West 11th and Perry Streets, will begin on Tuesday, October 7th and continue through Sunday, October 12.
