The Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas has officially announced their 2022 LMDA International Conference which will be held both online and in Philadelphia, PA U.S.A. on the traditional lands of the Lenni-Lenape from July 20-24, 2022.

Pear Theatre continues its tradition of less-than-typical holiday shows with The Thanksgiving Play by Larissa FastHorse and Eight Nights by Jennifer Maisel, playing in repertory.

TCG Books' First Fridays series features authors from TCG Books' roster in conversation about their work on the first Friday of every month.

Current subscribers see their 43rd season officially kick off this December with a new production of the holiday classic: A Merry Little Christmas Carol by Mark Shanahan, and will end in June, 2022 with Duncan MacMillan’s Every Brilliant Thing: an immersive storytelling experience that blends comedy, improv, and audience interaction to tell the story of an adult growing up in the shadow of mental illness, and learning to grapple with their own experiences with love, loss, and depression. 

In addition to its six-play membership season, the Montgomery County institution returns with an equally busy schedule of concerts, special productions, presentations, and even more curated programming to build off of the success of its summer series: Olney Outdoors.

Syracuse Stage Artistic Director Robert Hupp today announced an expansion of the senior artistic staff. As of September 1, veteran New York based director Melissa Crespo becomes the theater's associate artistic director. Kyle Bass, who currently holds that position, will transition to a new role as the theater's first resident playwright and will remain a member of the theater's senior artistic staff.

Americans for the Arts will host its virtual Annual Convention June 8-11, 2021. Through 24 sessions, over 800 participants will gather to better understand how the nonprofit arts field can build an equitable arts, culture, and creative economy together as we reemerge and rebuild from the pandemic.

Playwrights Horizons will present a 50th Anniversary Virtual Gala, June 23 at 8pm. This virtual event honors the organization’s storied past and fundraises for the vast potential of what’s to come.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell theatre will host RANDOM ACTS, a solo play written and performed by Obie Award winner Renata Hinrichs. Directed by Jessi D. Hill, performances begin May 23 at the cell. Performances will be presented open air for a strictly limited audience.

Jeffrey Richards has just announced Broadway’s Best Shows, a home for entertaining, engaging content, long form features and exclusive access to Broadway’s Best, will continue its “Spotlight on Plays” series this spring on Thursday, March 25, 2021 to benefit The Actors Fund.

The Dramatists Guild of America will welcome two new members to its Council, Ty Defoe and Rona Siddiqui. The Guild is governed by a board of directors (Council) elected from its membership. These writers, in various stages of their theatrical careers, meet monthly to decide policy for the Guild.
