The 22 year-old Dallas, Texas born Juliana Madrid releases “Pixelated” from her upcoming sophomore Afterlife EP to be released on Neon Gold Records. After releasing “Trackstar”, co-written with GRAMMY-nominated talents Benjamin Ruttner (of The Knocks), and Matthew Koma (Zedd, Carly Rae Jepsen, Shania Twain etc), she’s now sharing “Pixelated.”
He found that sunshine in abundance out in Los Angeles where the track was recorded alongside producer Gianluca Buccellati, perhaps best known for his work with Arlo Parks on her Mercury Prize winning debut album “Collapsed In Sunbeams”, and Lana Del Rey. The track was mixed by David Wrench (David Byrne, Jamie xx, Frank Ocean, Glass Animals).
The tour will see the queer pop/rock trio Hyphen Hyphen making stops across Montreal, Edmonton, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Portland. Their recent album is full of collaborations, including Glen Ballard on “Don’t wait for me”, or mix engineers Mark «Spike» Stent (Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, etc.) and Dan Grech (Lana del Rey, Moby).
Macve co-produced “Beauty Queen” with producer Zach Dawes, most well known for his continuous work with Lana Del Rey but also boasts credits with Sharon Van Etten, Brian Wilson, The Arctic Monkeys and more.
