Created and conceived by performer, producer, and dance writer Charmaine Warren, the newly launched story sharing and discussion series highlights Black creatives in the dance world. Nickelodeon is literally bringing to life the popular animated characters from its Emmy Award-winning The Loud House with the greenlight of an all-new original live-action holiday TV movie: The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas! (working title). Casting is currently underway for the feature-length TV movie, which will begin production this summer and is set to premiere in the fourth quarter of this year.

Trisha Brown Dance Company will celebrate its 50th anniversary at The Joyce Theater (April 21-26) with an historical season commemorating Brown's extraordinary partnership with visual artist Robert Rauschenberg. Over the course of five decades, Brown and Rauschenberg maintained a remarkable creative dialogue, drawing inspiration from each other while investigating the visual and the kinetic. The Joyce program features two pivotal works: Foray Forêt, with original costumes by Rauschenberg, and Astral Converted, featuring Rauschenberg's costumes and mobile set of lighting towers.
Dance/NYC Announces 25 Recipients Of Dance Advancement Fund

Dance/NYC has announced the 25 recipients of the second iteration of the Dance Advancement Fund, made possible by the generous support of the Ford Foundation. The purpose of the Fund is to address the inequitable distribution of resources in the dance field and advance resilience by supporting dance makers with annual budgets between $25,000 and $1 million.
The Shed Announces its 2020 Season

Alex Poots, Artistic Director and CEO of The Shed, today announced its 2020 Season of new productions by progressive artists from across the performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture, including live performances, solo exhibitions, and the final group of The Shed's inaugural Open Call series for emerging New York City-based artists. Poots also announced the appointment of Madani Younis, who joins The Shed in January as Chief Executive Producer. To celebrate the opening season as it draws to a close, The Shed will host its first open house, Meet at The Shed, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, featuring special pop-up events and free admission to its current exhibitions.

Live Arts At The Morris Museum Announces Launch Event

Live Arts at the Morris Museum, a bold new performance series, introduces cultural climate change to Morris County's Morris Museum in historic Morristown, New Jersey. Innovative artists from around the world and around the area will dominate the season with world and regional premieres of the most interesting new work being created in music, dance and theater. To introduce Live Arts at the Morris Museum there will be a Launch Party on Thursday, June 6th at 7:30 pm at The Bickford Theatre featuring a performance by Kyle Marshall Choreography, the dynamic young dance company who will preview their new work, Horizon which will be part of the new season. Open Call, The Shed's commissioning and programming initiative for New York-based emerging artists, launches on Thursday, May 30, with new works by seven artists and collectives presented in The Griffin Theater over six weeks. The inaugural program continues June 19 through August 25 with a group show of 22 artists and collectives in Level 2 Gallery and presentations of new work by 15 artists and collectives in The Shed's open-air Plaza; a fourth group will be presented in 2020.
