The DCPA Theatre Company has announced the full casting and creative team for Quixote Nuevo inthe Wolf Theatre running May 13 – June 12, 2022. 

Scattered throughout the calendar year, Sideshow will broadcast five readings of plays we love, written by playwrights they love. Every party has to have a theme, darling, and Sideshow will not disappoint. A play is an event, and so each play will have a customized party experience to bring the audience together even when we're apart.

Sideshow Theatre Company is pleased to welcome eleven new ensemble members and artistic associates. Ensemble members include Wardell Julius Clark, Greg Geffrard, Arti Ishak, Krystal Ortiz, Gabrielle Randle-Bent and Netta Walker. Artistic Associates include Patrick Agada, J. Nicole Brooks, Brynne Frauenhoffer, Jyreika Guest and Sarah Price.

With the conclusion of the 2019-2020 Chicago non-Equity theater season, the Jeff Awards announced the nominees for the 47th annual awards for theater excellence that include 120 theater artists across 21 categories.

The House Theatre of Chicago will offer pay-what-you-wish remote viewing of its latest mainstage production, Verböten, the true-ish story of how punk rock saved the lives of four Evanston kids in 1983.

The House Theatre of Chicago will extend Verböten, the company's second main stage production of its 18th season. Directed by The House's Artistic Director Nathan Allen, with book by Brett Neveu and music and lyrics by Jason Narducy, The House will add 13 performances of Verböten running through Sunday, March 29 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. The world premiere of Brett Neveu's Verböten with music and lyrics by Jason Narducy runs January 16 a?" March 8, 2020 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. Verböten, a new musical inspired by Narducy's 1980's Evanston-based teenage punk rock band is directed by The House Theatre of Chicago's Artistic Director Nathan Allen.

Victory Gardens Theater Artistic Director Chay Yew, Executive Director Erica Daniels and Director of New Play Development Skyler Gray announce the lineup for the 11th Anniversary IGNITION Festival of New Plays, including The Tasters by Meghan Brown; The Gradient by Steph Del Rosso; [hieroglyph] by Erika Dickerson-Despenza; #NEWSLAVES by Keelay Gipson; Reckoning: Furies from a New Queer Nation by Geraldine Inoa; and They Could Give No Name by Exal Iraheta. The 2019 Festival runs August 2 -4, 2019 at Victory Gardens Theater, located at 2433 N Lincoln Avenue.
