Sue Simmerling, owner of costume design company Carry on Costumes, is doing her bit to help the NHS in its battle against COVID-19. Sue was contacted by fellow designer Dulcie Scott, who started the crowdfunding group 'Helping Dress Medics'. The group's aim is to purchase fabrics that are then made into scrubs for the NHS medics dealing with the virus in hospitals.

Jay McGuiness, Kimberley Walsh and Daniel Casey will star as Sam, Annie and Walter respectively in SLEEPLESS, A Musical Romance, based on the original screenplay Sleepless in Seattle. They are joined by Harriet Thorpe as Eleanor, Tania Mathurin as Becky and Jake Sharp as Rob. SLEEPLESS will premiere in London on 1 April 2020 at the newly opened Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, London, with previews from 24 March.

West End star Louise Dearman will perform in concert at Cadogan Hall on Sunday 31 May at 6.30pm, her biggest solo concert to date.

This year's line-up for Christmas with the Stars - the charity Christmas musical theatre concert in Covent Garden in the heart of the West End - is another star-studded musical feast of festive fun.

SLEEPLESS, A Musical Romance, based on the original screenplay Sleepless in Seattle, will premiere in London on 31 March 2020 at the newly opened Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, London. Tickets will be on sale at 10.00am on Tuesday 10 December.

BIG the Musical first premiered on Broadway in 1996 and closed after just six months. It had its UK & Ireland premiere in Plymouth in 2016, shortly followed by a stint in Dublin - both starring Jay McGuiness as Josh, who reprises the role for this West End production.

BIG The Musical is currently in previews at the Dominion Theatre, with a Gala Night in aid of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday 17 September 2019.

Last night, STEPPING OUT opened at the Vaudeville Theatre (read our review here). The production stars Amanda Holden, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Nicola Stephenson, Judith Barker, Jessica-Alice McCluskey, Sandra Marvin and Dominic Rowan, directed by Maria Friedman. The smash hit musical ELF has already broken several box office records during its current 10-week run at the Dominion Theatre in London, where performances began on 24 October. The show has broken the box office record three times for the highest selling show since the Dominion Theatre opened, and has also beaten the Dominion's box office record for the highest grossing week ever.

At a ceremony held today at London's Café de Paris, Steve Furst announced the nominees for the 16th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards. The announcement of the nominations marks the opening of the final voting stage (closes 31 January), with winners announced at the annual Awards Concert held on 21 February 2016 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
