The Hudson Valley Blues Society (HVBS) is looking forward to introducing 2019 Grammy Nominee and multi-award winning artist, Victor Wainwright to Hudson Valley music enthusiasts at Daryl's House Club, Pawling, NY on August 28th.  The power-house blues, soul and roots rocking pianist/performer will command the stage supported by one of the tightest, smokin' bands on the scene today a?? along with a new horn section and rechristened as, the Train.

Over 100 new people move to Austin every day. And before you wonder why I've started a theatre review with that statistic, it means 36,500 new Austinites have not seen ZACH's A CHRISTMAS CAROL. This perennial favorite, running at ZACH every Christmas season for the last three million years (Okay, really, what is it now, four years?) adds much merriment to the Austin holiday season, and Austin theatre in general. It showcases the best of our community, and is top notch entertainment for those looking to bask in the joy of the holiday season. It's a perfect show to share with the family in town for the holiday - and a great representation of Austin's talent for the newcomer.

ZACH Theatre brings three great seasonal shows for everyone to share this 2018 Holiday Season. ZACH's rockin' holiday tradition, A Christmas Carol will return to The Topfer at ZACH for the fifth year November 21-December 30 with exciting new songs and new cast in addition to returning favorites. David Sedaris' ever-irreverent and giddily-cynical Macy's elf Crumpet is back with a new Crumpet, running on The Whisenhunt December 5-December 30. ZACH Theatre's Moody Theatre for Families Series brings back Holiday Heroes this season due to popular demand for two shows, December 8 and 15.

Who doesn't know the story of Charles Dickens's 'A Christmas Carol'? The story is drummed into our heads every holiday season from the moment we're able to process speech. The story has been adapted a staggering number of times for film, stage, opera, and other media. 'A Christmas Carol in Prose, Being a Ghost-Story of Christmas', is most commonly known simply as 'A Christmas Carol' and was first published in 1843 with that first edition selling out by Christmas Eve. Remarkably, it has never been out of print and by the end of the first year, thirteen editions had been released. It has been translated into several languages. It tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge (Harvey Guion), an old miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley (Roderick Sanford) and the Ghosts of Christmas Past (Kenny Williams), Present (Chanel), and Yet to Come (Roderick Sanford). Their visits transform Scrooge into a kinder and gentler man.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens, adapted and directed by Dave Steakley, currently playing at ZACH Theatre, has become an Austin tradition and is by far the best way to kick off the holiday season. Retooled to include new contemporary songs every year, the musical is performed by a Broadway caliber cast. The Dickens' classic has never been more entertaining, and with the addition of GREATER TUNA star Jaston Williams as Scrooge, this year is an extra special treat with a cherry on top.

Comedian , actor and "Comedy Joy Ride" television pilot creator/producer Mackenson Louis continues his new weekly clean and hilarious comedy showcase  at Manhattan's famed The Comic Strip  Live (1568 Second Avenue) on Thursday, March 17th   beginning at 8:00pm.
