Global sensation, COME FROM AWAY has added to its international award tally, being crowned Best Performance by a Theatre Company for the 2019 VCE Theatre Studies Playlist. This award is given annually by Drama Victoria for a play that demonstrates strong dramatic merit and offers rich opportunities for students studying theatre in their senior years. 

Tyrone Huntley today announced the nominations for the 20th annual WhatsOnStage Awards via WhatsOnStage's social channels, the only major theatre prize-giving decided entirely by the theatregoers themselves. The announcement of the nominations marks the opening of the final voting stage (until 27 January), with winners announced at the annual Awards Concert held on 1 March 2020 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

The first photo has been released of the four stars of Diana, the upcoming new musical based on the incredible real life story of an icon to end all icons. Performances will begin on Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th St.), with an official opening night set for Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

To celebrate her incredible run, we're looking back at highlights from her journey with the show, from its out-of-town productions to opening night on Broadway and beyond. Check it all out!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Emily Walton will make her Broadway debut in Come From Away as Janice & Others on Tuesday, November 12. Emily, who starred in the national tour, is the niece of Jim Walton, who currently plays Nick & others in the Broadway company.

On Monday, November 4, Ann Harada, Crystal Lucas-Perry, John Cameron Mitchell, Taylor Schilling, Wallace Shawn and Fred Weller will appear in a one-night-only reading of Maxwell Anderson's Bad Seed, to benefit The New Group, as the company celebrates its 25th Anniversary Season.  Cynthia Nixon directs.  This benefit reading supports New Group/New Works, The New Group's play and musical development program. 

What a year for theatre 2019 has been! Remembering all of the amazing shows as part of the build-up to the BroadwayWorld UK Awards has been a complete joy, and it is my pleasure to present some thoughts about the shows that have left a distinct impression on my stagey mind.
