Court Theatre continues its 2013-2014 season with the revival of the OBIE Award-winning play An Iliad by Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson, directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell and starring Timothy Edward Kane. An Iliad will run November 13 - December 8, 2013 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue.

Primary Stages continues its 29th season with a new production of their acclaimed 1995 OBIE Award winner, The Model Apartment, by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies (Shipwrecked!, Time Stands Still, Dinner with Friends, Sight Unseen). Directed by Evan Cabnet (A Kid Like Jake at Lincoln Center Theater, The Performers on Broadway), the production will feature Mark Blum (The Assembled Parties and Gore Vidal's The Best Man on Broadway), Diane Davis (Old Acquaintance on Broadway, Regrets Only at MTC), two-time Obie Award-winner Kathryn Grody (The Marriage of Bette & Boo, Top Girls, A Mom's Life), and Hubert Point-Du Jour (Angels in America andThe Brother/Sister Plays Off-Broadway). The Model Apartment runs September 24 - November 1 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters. Opening night is Tuesday, October 15 at 7PM.

Chicago Opera Theater (COT) offers more opportunities to look inside its operas through its new initiative, “Viewpoints.” These collaborations with Chicago cultural institutions draw audiences even further into the passionate world of COT's 2013 Season, “Power of Love – Love of Power,” and offer new insight and perspective on the artistry and vision of upcoming productions.

Songwriter Peter Yanowitz (of the bands The Wallflowers and Morningwood) premieres his new multimedia song cycle WALKING IN SOHO at the New York Musical Theatre Festival on July 25 at the Studio Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center. The show will feature direction and multimedia projection design by Randy Blair (Fat Camp, Spidermusical, Perez Hilton Saves the Universe), and will play 2 performances (6:30 and 9:30).

La Jolla Playhouse presents Tribes (tonight, June 25 - July 21 in the Mandell Weiss Forum), Sideways (July 16 - August 18 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre) and Neva (June 26 - 30 in the Theodore and Adele Shank Theatre).

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the casts and creative teams for its upcoming productions of Tribes (June 25 - July 21 in the Mandell Weiss Forum), Sideways (July 16 - August 18 in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre) and Neva (June 26 - 30 in the Theodore and Adele Shank Theatre).

Casting is complete for Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Chicago-premiere production of Tribes by Nina Raine. Ensemble member Austin Pendleton directs a cast featuring ensemble members Alana Arenas, Francis Guinan and Molly Regan with Steve Haggard, Russell Harvard and Helen Sadler. The American premiere of Tribes was Off-Broadway at Barrow Street Theater in 2012, and also featured Harvard, alongside ensemble member Jeff Perry; Harvard was recently featured in the Mark Taper Forum production as well.

Albert present The Moliere Festival: The Misanthrope & Tartuffe, written by Moliere with a translation by Richard Wilbur, and directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell. The Misanthrope will run today, May 9 - June 9, and Tartuffe will run June 20 -July 14 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. Press Opening for The Misanthrope is Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 8:00 p.m., and Press Opening for Tartuffe is Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.

TUTA Theatre Chicago extends the latest show in its 11th season, The Silent Language, a U.S. premiere, written by Serbian playwright Miodrag Stanisavljevic, translated by Zoran Paunovic, and directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone. The Silent Language, extended by three weekends, will run through Sunday, June 9 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., in addition to Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4 p.m., at TUTA Studio Theatre, 2010 W. Fulton Street. There will be no performances on Saturday, June 1 and will be an added 8 p.m. performance to Sunday, June 2. There is a suggested donation of $25 at the door for adults and $15 for industry/students/children under 18 at all performances. Seating is extremely limited. Reservations are highly recommended.
