TUTA Theatre Chicago continues its eleventh season with The Silent Language, a U.S. premiere, written by Serbian playwright Miodrag Stanisavljevic, translated by Zoran Paunovic, and directed by Artistic Director Jacqueline Stone. The Silent Language will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., in addition to Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4 p.m., from April 19 - May 19 at TUTA Studio Theatre, 2010 W. Fulton Avenue.

Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter present the New York premiere of the new play, Hit the Wall by Ike Holter, a theatrical exploration of the first night of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, at the Barrow Street Theatre. Directed by Eric Hoff, with original music & music supervision by Dan Lipton, performances for Hit the Wall begin tonight, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue), with an opening night set for Sunday, March 10, 2013. The world-premiere production of the Goodman-commissioned Teddy Ferrara by Pulitzer Prize finalist Christopher Shinn is directed by Evan Cabnet. Steppenwolf Theatre Company begins the new year with Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party, under the direction of ensemble member Austin Pendleton. The Birthday Party features ensemble members Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, Moira Harris and John Mahoney with Sophia Sinise (one actor is still to be announced). The Birthday Party opens tonight, February 3, 2013, and runs through May 19 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre (1650 N Halsted St).

Center Theatre Group has announced the cast of the upcoming production of "Tribes" at the Mark Taper Forum which will feature cast members from the acclaimed off-Broadway production at Barrow Street Theatre. The West Coast Premiere of Nina Raine's "Tribes" will be presented February 27 through April 14, 2013. The opening is set for March 10.

Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian, and Tom Wirtshafter, producers of the acclaimed Off-Broadway hit play Tribes, have announced a two-week extension of the award-winning production. It was previously announced Tribes had officially recouped its entire investment and would end its monumental run on January 6, 2013. But, due to popular demand, the final performance will now be Sunday evening, January 20, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street) where performances began February 16, 2012. Tribes opened to rave reviews on March 4, 2012 and at closing will have given 19 preview and 391 regular performances.

The Amoralists Theatre Company is excited to announce its 2013 theater season. The line-up includes the World Premiere of Collision, written by Lyle Kessler and directed by David Fofi; the New York Premiere of Rantoul and Die, written and directed by Mark Roberts; and the World Premiere of The Cheaters Club, written by Derek Ahonen.
