The producers of Off-Broadway's Tribes have announced new additions to the clan beginning September 4th: Lee Roy Rogers (Orson's Shadow) will assume the role of Beth and Dina Thomas (See How They Run) will assume the role of Ruth, and beginning September 25th: Susannah Flood (A Civil War Christmas) will assume the role of Sylvia, joining Will Brill (Our Town) as Daniel, Russell Harvard (There Will Be Blood) as Billy, and Jeff Still (August: Osage County) as Christopher.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Through the Yellow Hour, a play written and directed by Adam Rapp (Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter). The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place-off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.

TimeLine Theatre Company opens its 16th season with the Chicago premiere of 33 Variations by Moises Kaufman, directed by Nick Bowling, August 30 - October 21, 2012 (previews August 24 - 29). Note that performances will be held at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago. Press Opening performance is Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter have announced that the Off-Broadway hit play Tribes has been extended at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street, NYC), by popular demand, through January 6, 2013.

Shakespeare on the Sound presents ROMEO AND JULIET in Greenwich from tonight, June 26 through July 8 and in Rowayton from July 18-29.

The producers of the acclaimed new Off-Broadway hit Tribes have announced new additions to the clan: Nick Westrate, winner of a 2012 Special Drama Desk Award for his versatility in the 2011-2012 season (Unnatural Acts, Love's Labor's Lost, and Galileo) will temporarily assume the role of Daniel while Will Brill takes a leave of absence from May 30 - July 1, and Jeff Still, who originated leading roles in the Barrow Street Theatre productions of Our Town and Orson's Shadow (both directed by David Cromer),will assume the role of Christopher beginning July 1, replacing Jeff Perry, who departs to begin filming the second season of ABC's "Scandal." Tribes, which recently won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Foreign Play,is currently in performance at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street).

lonesome road productions, in association with Jim Jensen and Lisselan Productions, announce the final week of Chicago performances for the critically-acclaimed hit, the Doyle & Debbie show, created by Bruce Arntson, and starring Bruce Arntson, Jenny Littleton and Matt Carlton. The show, playing at The Royal George Cabaret, will close May 27, 2012.

Shakespeare on the Sound, Connecticut's outdoor summer theater company, will present a newly conceived production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, under the direction of Joanna Settle, this June and July for the company's 17th season.

Nominations in 14 categories were announced today by the Off-Broadway League for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway.
