'The Wizard of Oz: A Jazz Musical for All Ages,' presented by Harlem Repertory Theater (HRT) and Yip Harburg Foundation, will not close June 16. It has been extended through November 24, 2018 due to continuing and steady audience interest. The Harlem Repertory Theatre, under the direction of its Founding Artistic Director Keith Lee Grant, has announced that it will present JAMAICA, Yip Harburg and Fred Saidy,'s powerful story about a Jamaican woman's dream of moving to New York City, July 29th - March 24th at The Tato Laviera Theatre (240 East 123rd Street).

To celebrate the 121st birthday of lyricist E.Y. 'Yip' Harburg, Richard Skipper has assembled a brunch time cabaret tribute to the legendary lyricist, to be staged at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on April 8, with cabaret stars Karen Oberlin, Leslie Orofino, Maureen Kelley Stewart and a special appearance by Anita Gilette.

A swinging, rip-roaring musical tribute to the black musicians of the Harlem Renaissance, 'Ain't Misbehavin' opened on Broadway in 1978 as a musical revue of Jazz Legend Fats Waller's popular songbook, and it ended up winning a number of awards including the TONY for Best Musical. The Harlem Repertory Theatre's production of 'Ain't Misbehavin', which sold out it's 2008 run and won the AUDELCO 2008 Musical Production of the Year Award, is now returning to the Harlem Rep's stage for its' 2016-17 season in a new intimate cabaret style that will bring the audience closer to the performers. This brilliant showcase of Fats Waller's magnificent songbook will have audiences dancing in the aisles as the HRT's finest company members sing the toe-tapping, hand-clapping songs: T'Ain't Nobody's Business, This Joint is Jumpin', Honeysuckle Rose, the title song, Ain't Misbehavin', and many more! The Harlem Repertory Theatre is proud to be bringing this production back to Harlem; to the neighborhoods Fats Waller knew growing up that inspired him!
