Building off the successes of 2018 Summer Season, which broke attendance records and earned the 2018 New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Professional Musical Production (42nd Street). This past year brought 23 nominations for New Hampshire Theater Awards. The Barn celebrates 8 awards and 19 'top three' finishes in recognition of its 2018 season. The Box Office is now open, so come on by to pick up your tickets, greet the company, and grab a t-shirt!

Barn Playhouse Board of Directors has announced the appointment and promotion of Elliott Cunningham and Jody Cooper-Rubin to key management positions reporting to Keith Coughlin, Executive Artistic Director.

The New London Barn Playhouse has capped its historic 85th summer season by becoming the 2017 recipient of the New England Theatre Conference's (NETC) Moss Hart Memorial Award for Professional Excellence, for its August production of All Shook Up. This is the second Moss Hart Award won by the Barn in as many years.

The Pussycat Foundation, established in the spirit of Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Helen Gurley Brown, has awarded Northern Stage's Producing Artistic Director Carol Dunne a Genius Grant of $250,000 for her achievements in theater arts, recognizing her as a pioneering artist and artistic director. The Pussycat Foundation awards Genius Grants to individuals who dedicate their lives to transformative work with bold leadership and vision. The dollars awarded to Carol are split evenly between Northern Stage and the New London Barn Playhouse, which Carol led from 2008-2014.

New London Barn Playhouse presents West Side Story, running now through August 6, directed by Keith Coughlin and choreographed by Michael Jablonski, with music direction by Jonathan Parks. Based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story features book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The nominations are out for the 11th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards. Like Broadway has the Tony Awards, NH has the NHTA's. Those awards will be handed out on Saturday January 26th at the Stockbridge Theatre on the campus of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire. The award ceremony begins at 7pm.

Cape Rep Theatre will conclude its 25th Anniversary Season on December 5 with the closing of the Musical Comedy Smash The Drowsy Chaperone. Keith Coughlin will direct and choreograph. Scott Storr will serve as musical director.
