An official opening date has been announced for the new Fleming Center for Artistic Development at the New London Barn Playhouse.

The New London Barn Playhouse has announced the season lineup of performances for its 90th summer season beginning in early June 2022! 

The new Center for Artistic Development at the New London Barn Playhouse will be known as The Fleming Center due to the generous donation of Nancy Fleming and her family. The Fleming Center is being built as part of a multi-phase construction project.

The New London Barn Playhouse welcomes back a live audience for its 89th summer season! The theatre will present a variety of musical selections with thrilling entertainment  in a safe, socially distanced outdoor setting for a very special “Summer Under the Stars.”

The New London Barn Playhouse is pleased to announce its Play A Part Campaign. After 89 years on Main Street, the New London Barn Playhouse is getting a well needed makeover. The campaign will help fulfill the Barn's vision to be one of the most cherished and historic theaters in the country and the region's leading source for the full spectrum of theater education.

The New London Barn Playhouse has announced two holiday performances to be held virtually in December. First, on Saturday, December 5, 2020 the New London Barn Playhouse will present a live radio production of Miracle on 34th Street.

The Board of Directors of the New London Barn Playhouse has announced the nomination of three new members to the board as well as new officers.

The New London Barn Playhouse is thrilled to announce the promotion of Elliott Cunningham to the key management position of Managing Director. Elliott has been with the organization since 2015 and has served as Director of Operations/Associate Artistic Director and Company Manager since 2017.

The New London Barn Playhouse is  partnering with the Center for the Arts in New London, New Hampshire for a First Friday presentation on June 5th, 2020 at 7pm. The event will be held via a Zoom meeting for the public to learn more about how the New London Barn Playhouse is handling the COVID-19 pandemic and the broader effect it's had on the greater theater community.

Building off the successes of 2018 Summer Season, which broke attendance records and earned the 2018 New Hampshire Theatre Award for Best Professional Musical Production (42nd Street). This past year brought 23 nominations for New Hampshire Theater Awards. The Barn celebrates 8 awards and 19 "top three" finishes in recognition of its 2018 season. The Box Office is now open, so come on by to pick up your tickets, greet the company, and grab a t-shirt!

Barn Playhouse Board of Directors has announced the appointment and promotion of Elliott Cunningham and Jody Cooper-Rubin to key management positions reporting to Keith Coughlin, Executive Artistic Director.

Leave those dancing feet on 42nd street behind as the New London Barn Playhouse invites you to watch what happens when the 86th Summer Season takes us to the old Bowery to meet the kings of New York with the smash Disney musical Newsies, running August 8 - August 19, 7:30PM with Wednesday and Friday matinee performances at 2:00PM and Sunday performances at 5:00PM.

The New London Barn Playhouse has capped its historic 85th summer season by becoming the 2017 recipient of the New England Theatre Conference's (NETC) Moss Hart Memorial Award for Professional Excellence, for its August production of All Shook Up. This is the second Moss Hart Award won by the Barn in as many years.

The Pussycat Foundation, established in the spirit of Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Helen Gurley Brown, has awarded Northern Stage's Producing Artistic Director Carol Dunne a Genius Grant of $250,000 for her achievements in theater arts, recognizing her as a pioneering artist and artistic director. The Pussycat Foundation awards Genius Grants to individuals who dedicate their lives to transformative work with bold leadership and vision. The dollars awarded to Carol are split evenly between Northern Stage and the New London Barn Playhouse, which Carol led from 2008-2014.

New London Barn Playhouse presents West Side Story, running now through August 6, directed by Keith Coughlin and choreographed by Michael Jablonski, with music direction by Jonathan Parks. Based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, West Side Story features book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
