The National Theatre announced three new National Theatre Live productions that will be broadcast to audiences in cinemas in the UK and beyond, with tickets now on sale.

John Heffernan and Katherine Parkinson lead a superb cast in a brilliant realisation of director, Simon Goodwin's, conceptualisation of Shakespeare's comedy.

BAFTA Award winning Katherine Parkinson’s (Home, I’m Darling, The IT Crowd) debut play Sitting has been adapted for the screen, airing at 10.30pm on Wednesday 7th April on BBC Four.  Jeremy Herrin directs the hour-long comedy-drama.

The final play in the series will be announced shortly.

Directed by Jessica Lazar, it follows the previous collaboration on Marcus' debut The You Play: small acts, and will be available from 14 December 2020.

E.V. Crowe debuts her new play Shoe Lady directed by the Royal Court's artistic director Vicky Featherstone. Katherine Parkinson returns to the stage as a woman who accidentally loses a shoe on her way to work. What ensues from the incident is a bleak reflection on middle-class anxiety.
