The Hollywood Arts Council's 28th Annual Charlie Awards Luncheon, benefiting the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community, will be held on April 25, 2014. Emceed by ABC7 Television's George Pennacchio, the luncheon will take place in the Blossom Room in the Hollywoof Roosevelt Hotel. Arrivals will happen between 11:15am and 12:00noon, at which time the event begins.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center announces a new addition to its annual line-up of cultural programs and special events -- The Stanley Kramer Film Festival will debut at Camelot Theatres today, November 15th and run through Sunday, November 17th. The 2013 event, which is designed to coincide with other Stanley Kramer Centennial events taking place this year, will include special screenings of six of Stanley Kramer's best-known films. On Saturday, August 10th, 2013 Project Angel Food hosted its annual Angel Awards where the non-profit recognized the philanthropic accomplishments of award-winning actress Jane Lynch, star of FOX's GLEE and host of NBC's new hit "Hollywood Game Night," and Food network staple, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. With nearly 400 guests in attendance, it was a night to celebrate and many of Hollywood's brightest turned out to show their support for the evening's honorees and the organization which prepares and delivers over 12,000 nutritious meals every week to those with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Los Angeles County. Celebration Theatre presents the third show of its 2011-2012 Season, THE COLOR PURPLE, book by Marsha Norman, music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis and Stephen Bray, musical direction by Gregory Nabours, choreography by Janet Roston and directed by Michael Matthews. 'Teach Your Children Well,' a powerful new documentary about the growing problem of bullying in schools, has been selected to be screened as the next installment in Kat Kramer's Films That Change the World, in association with Sunset Gower Studios and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles on October 16 in Hollywood.

Lily Tomlin, Cher, Billy Bob Thornton, Tippi Hedren, Ed Begley, Jr., George Chakiris, Ken Davitian and Stella Stevens were among many celebrities who turned out for the premiere of the hard-hitting documentary 'Elephants and Man: A Litany of Tragedy' at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood on January 20. The film, which chronicles the history of elephants in captivity, was shown as part of the screening series 'Kat Kramer's Films That Change the World.'

Multi-award-winning actress and comedienne Lily Tomlin is among several celebrities scheduled to speak when the controversial documentary "Elephants and Man: A Litany of Tragedy" is shown at Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood on January 20, as part of the "Kat Kramer's Films That Change the World" screening series.
