3Arts has announced the 17 recipients of this year's 3Arts Awards. The organization will honor the new recipients next month at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance

Wielding her voice like a honey-coated blade, Kara Jackson crafts a blend of emotional folk music and poetic alt-country. With the radical honesty of Nina Simone, the intricate lyricism of Fiona Apple and Joanna Newsom, and the straightforward, no-frills delivery of artists like Kimya Dawson, Kara’s writing blurs the line between poetry and song.

The shows, conceived and produced by a diverse group of NYC-based artists, are Untitled Ukraine Project by The Mill (Feb 1-2), Embodied by Jaime Sunwoo / Free Rein Projects (Feb 4-5), Rubalee by Caborca (Feb 8-9), and Longing Lights by Deniz Khateri and Bahar Royaee (Feb 11-12).

Wales Millennium Centre has confirmed the final line up for Llais 2022, WMC's flagship international arts festival which returns to Cardiff from 26-30 October with an eclectic line-up of international acts.
