Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts' Live & Local Fridays concert series opens on Sept. 7 and showcases eight Arizona groups spanning rockabilly-honky tonk, indie-folk, African rhythms, blues, hip-hop, folk-rock, jazz, indie-rock and pop on Friday evenings through Sept. 28.

MTV today announced that global superstar Jennifer Lopez will receive the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" at the 2018 MTV "VMAs." She is also set to perform live at this year's show for the first time since 2001 and is nominated for two "VMAs" for her most recent single, "Dinero." With a legacy that spawns over two decades, Lopez is one of the most iconic and influential multi-hyphenates across music, film, television, fashion, business and philanthropy.Lopez joins a prestigious list of past Vanguard recipients that includes Michael Jackson, Madonna, Guns N' Roses, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, BEYONCÉ, Kanye West, Rihanna and P!nk.

According to a new audition notice, casting is currently underway for a musical based on the behemoth pop catalogue of producer Max Martin.

One of the biggest breakout artists of the past year, Bazzi, has teamed up with multi-platinum global chart topping singer/songwriter Camila Cabello, just off of her two back to back #1 singles "Havana" and "Never Be the Same" for a new version of his hit single "Beautiful."  This brings the two back together after Bazzi joined Camila on her sold out North American Never Be The Same Tour. FOX has ordered SPIN THE WHEEL, a high-stakes game show offering a chance to win over $20 million per episode. Executive-produced by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning musician and actor Justin Timberlake, and hosted by actor, director, writer and comedian Dax Shepard (“Hit and Run”), the show offers life-changing opportunities to win fortunes each episode with the spin of a massive, unpredictable wheel. The show, created by Timberlake and Andrew Glassman (“The Wall”) of Glassman Media, is scheduled to premiere during the 2018-2019 season on FOX.

 iHeartMedia announced today that Leon Bridges, MAX, Badflower, The Vamps, Drax Project and FOX The Four's Season 1 winner Evvie McKinney, have been added to the lineup for the Daytime Stage at the 2018 iHeartRadioMusic Festival onSaturday, September 22. Bank Stadium, and 110 million watching on television and online. 'Being nominated for an Emmy is an amazing and humbling experience. OWN Expands the Network's Podcast Slate with OPRAH'S MASTER CLASS

Expanding on the popular podcast “Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations,” OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today it will launch the podcast version of its Emmy-nominated series “Oprah's Master Class” on Apple Podcasts. A sneak preview of the podcast featuring actor and producer Dwayne Johnson is available today, July 17, and the podcast will officially debut on Thursday, July 19 with hip-hop innovator and entrepreneur Jay-Z. Each week, the podcast will feature previously aired content from the television series' most popular interviews with the most respected and renowned actors, musicians, public figures and athletes sharing their greatest life lessons in their own words.

MTV today announced nominations across all gender neutral categories for the 2018 “VMAs.” The list includes dozens of artists whose reach and influence have elevated music's relevancy within the cultural conversation.  Cardi B received nods in 10 categories, including “Video,” “Song” and “Artist of the Year,” and The Carters secured eight, including “Video of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and “Best Hip Hop” for their recent hit single “APES**T.” Other top contenders include Childish Gambino, Drake and Bruno Mars.  The “VMAs” will air live from Radio City Music Hall on Monday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, and across MTV's global network of channels in more than 180 countries and territories, reaching more than half a billion households around the world.

ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, today announced that Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum producer and composer Tom Holkenborg, professionally known as Junkie XL, has switched to ASCAP for representation of public performances of his extensive music repertoire. This August, the acclaimed concert series Broadway Sings will begin a one-year residency at The Green Room 42 presenting the spin-off Broadway Sings: Unplugged.
