Roaring into Toronto this summer, London's new hit musical & Juliet will bring its multi-award-winning irreverence, hilarity and joie de vivre to North America. This week, the cast of the show arrived at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

Berklee College of Music honored pop culture icon Ringo Starr with an honorary degree during a tribute concert and ceremony held in person on Thursday. The new tour will kick off on October 15 in Greenville, SC, making stops in 43 U.S. cities including New York’s Madison Square Garden, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena before concluding in Seattle, WA on March 17.  Underwood will be joined on THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR by special guest Jimmie Allen on all dates. The track features a very groovy, heavily-effected guitar line over the type of dusty drums one would expect to hear from producers like Madlib or Dilla, with vocals that are as reminiscent of Justin Timberlake as they are Washed Out. The EP was produced by Sam in his home during the pandemic.

This discussion will focus on why this genre of jazz is deserving of more appreciation from the jazz world.
