CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION Comes to MET

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Circle Mirror Transformation! A collection of quirky Vermont locals enrolls in Marty's a?oeAdult Creative Dramaa?? class; including James, Marty's apprehensive husband; Theresa, a darling former actress from New York; Lauren, an awkward high school junior and Schultz, a vulnerable and recently divorced carpenter. These once-strangers begin to know each other far more intimately than expected as they traverse along with Marty's seemingly silly theater games and exercises. The group finds itself thrust into real-life love triangles, family troubles, confessions, and unexpected transformations.

Pulitzer Prize Winning Play SWEAT Opens MET's 19-20 Season

Ensemble Theatre (MET) is opening its 22nd season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, a?oeSweat,a?? by Lynn Nottage. In the struggling Rust Belt city of Reading, Pennsylvania, a bar becomes a battleground for race, class, family, and friendship. Cynthia, Tracey, and Jessie are a group of friends with a shared history working together on the factory line. But as economic upheaval and picket lines begin to strike their lives, they find themselves pitted against each other in a desperate fight to protect their livelihood and stay afloat.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre Presents THE LIGHT PRINCESS

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company is proud to present The Light Princess. In this adaptation of George MacDonald's classic, a mischievous and spirited troupe of performers tell the tale of a little girl who just happens to be a princess, who was put under a magic spell that left her weightless. The efforts of the baffled royal family to 'bring her back down to earth' are at times humorous and never quite successful until a wandering prince happens by. Could he be the one to break the spell of the evil Princess Makemnoit who has devilish plans to drain the lake, which is the only thing that brings the princess joy?

MET Presents CURSE OF THE STARVING CLASS

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Curse of the Starving Class. In this dark comedy, a family's survival in a harsh and changing world is put to the test. The play is set in a farmhouse in the American West, inhabited by the Tate family, who has enough to eat but not enough to satisfy the other pangs of hunger that bedevil them. As the show progresses, the characters fall victim to the dark underbelly of American life-and become benighted innocents pursuing a dream that remains beyond their reach.

RADIUM GIRLS to Glow at MET

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Radium Girls. In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie was an international celebrity, and luminous watches were the latest rage-until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. But as the case goes on, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but also with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire.

JUNIE B. JONES In Jungle Bells Batman Smells At MET's Fun Company

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company is proud to bring back Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells Batman Smells. Based on the children's books by Barbara Park, this play follows the feisty and irrepressible Junie B. Jones as she plays Secret Santa to her least favorite classmate, Tattletale May. Will Junie B. give Tattletale May exactly what she thinks she deserves or will the holiday spirit force a change of heart? With plenty of laughs and life lessons, this story is the perfect holiday treat for the whole family.

LET THE RIGHT ONE IN Comes to MET: Transcending The Vampire Genre

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present Let the Right One In by Jack Thorne. An unlikely bond forms between a bullied schoolboy and his mysterious new neighbor … one of whom has been young for a very long time. MET Announces Encore Remount of SUPER Prior to NYC Fringe Run

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) FUN Company presents an ENCORE REMOUNT of the original work SUPER! The Musical, written by award-winning FringeNYC show Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever playwright, Sarah Shulman,with lyrics by Caitlyn Joy, and music by Callan Holderbaum. This encore presentation will run for a limited time before making its way to FringeNYC in October. SUPER! The Musical is one of only three theatre for young audience shows chosen for inclusion in the festival.

This show uses movement, sound, and text to craft a chilling atmosphere that is sure to haunt audiences long after the curtains close.

Inspired by Seattle's Endangered Species Project and produced and directed by Christine Mosere and Aaron Angello with the mission of bringing joy and understanding to the community through elegantly staged readings of forgotten plays.
